Ivy stood with a smile as she watched Flynn arrange a pajamas on the bed.
"Hey, you should wear this" Flynn said handing the pajamas over to Ivy.
"Thank you girlfriend"
"Uhm, Ivy, I saw this in your bag while trying to arrange it on the rack"
Flynn gave Ivy the card she saw. It was the same card Lucas Wintershall had given Ivy in the afternoon.
"So I still had this. Thought I lost it already". Ivy picked the bag and searched through it, she saw the folded forty dollars note she had kept before leaving and the key to her room at the Montes residence.
"You should call Lucas Wintershall for help" Flynn suggested
Ivy "..."
"You could ask him for a job, you need it badly now".
Ivy reasoned with Flynn, she was correct. Now that the Big boss was on her tail, she needed money to save herself from him and her family.
She picked her phone and dialled the number on the card, it was late but she decided to try her luck.
"Hello, who's this?" Lucas Wintershall deep and fearful voice sounded on the other side of the line.
"Hello, Mr Wintershall. It's Ivy, the French translator you met at the vile restaurant" Ivy spoke confidently.
"Oh,hello Ivy. How may I help you?
"
"Uhm, Sir, please I need your help"
"Go on"
"I need to recommend me to any available company where I can work". "The thing is that I'm quite stranded and I'm badly in need of a job. Getting a job myself without connection is quite tasking "
"Ohhh " he said quietly
"I'm a very effective writer, a great listener and communicator. I am a trilingual person, I speak fluent English, Spanish and French".
Lucas was quite for a while and Ivy got scared, she didn't want to lose the opportunity, so she decided to sell herself more.
" I also manage social media accounts for organizations and also take care of their daily itinerary as a virtual assistant".
"Okay,okay, Miss Ivy. I've heard you. You'd get an email address soon, send your resumé to it" Lucas Wintershall said
"Alright,thank you so much sir"
The call ended and the phone beeped almost immediately,it was a text message of the email address, Ivy looked into Flynn's eyes with so much hope as she forwarded her resumé to the mailing address. She soon slept off on the couch while waiting for a response for the job.
**The next morning
Ivy's phone rang loudly as she groaned before picking it up and placing it in her eyes.
"Hey bitch, you didn't go back to the big boss right?" Miranda shouted loudly at the other end of the line.
Ivy hissed in anger as she hanged up the call and dropped her phone in frustration, she wasn't in for any family drama, definitely not after what they had let her go through.
"I should block her number" she said as she picked up her phone when she saw a message,it was from the same address Lucas Wintershall had sent to her.
"Dear Miss Ivy Montes,
You'd be accepted for the post of a virtual assistant at The Wintershall Builders with an annual salary of $1,200,000.
You're to resume your duties by 9am today"
Ivy screamed at the top of her lungs , jumping and dancing all around.
"Ivy! Ivy!! What happened " Flynn asked as she heard Ivy's loud scream.
"I got accepted, Flynn "
Flynn collected the phone and read the mail herself before joining Ivy in shouting.
"Girlie, you should start getting prepared for work" Flynn said and immediately Ivy stopped jumping, reality hitting her hard, she had nothing to wear
"You can wear my clothes for today and later we'd figure out the rest" Flynn said as she walked towards the wardrobe, selecting a dress Ivy could wear.
"Flynn….."
"Common girlie!! This isn't the time to complain, just see this as a loan, you'd pay me back when you receive your first paycheck"
Ivy chuckled as she heard her friend happy tone. "I should go take a shower"
Ivy ran the water over her head, she was super excited. Thank goodness, Miranda called her else she might have overslept and would have missed her first day at work.
She rushed out of the bathroom and quickly dressed into the peach gown Flynn gave her. She was more endowed than Flynn as she had more rounded and fully hips, this made the gown jump over her knee a bit, exposing a bit of her thigh to the public view.
"Flynn,is this okay?" Ivy asked as she kept dragging the gown down so it could cover her exposed thigh.
"It's not bad, don't just act too uncomfortable in the dress else everyone would know something is wrong"
"Okay"
"Let's go "
Flynn drove Ivy to the Wintershall Builders in her car. She had informed her boss she'd be coming in late as she had an emergency.
She pulled over infront of the giant building before facing her friend.
"Good luck on your first day"
Ivy walked to the security post and she introduced herself to the guard and he directed her to the reception
"Good day ma'am, please you're asked to go to the conference room as soon as you arrive" the beautiful receptionist said.
Saying a little prayer in her mind, Ivy walked into the conference room and she was welcomed by gawking eyes.
"Good day ma'am, Good day sir's" she greeted the pair of eyes on her.
"Ohh,yes. Please this is our new virtual assistant, Miss Ivy Montes " an elderly woman said as she rose from her chair and walked to Ivy.
Ivy looked at the name tag infront of her chair, she was the HR.
"You mean the lady who saved our company from being scammed by the translator " another elderly woman said
"Yes, she's the one" The HR replied as Ivy smiled to them all.
"That's nice, we should have capable hands here to move the company forward " an elderly man said this time around
Ivy suddenly felt grateful,her first day at work was going fine so far. All her bosses and members of the board valued her presence. It was a great sign for her, she was about introducing herself formally when she heard footsteps and then everyone rose up.
She turned around to see who had walked into the room to command such respect. She saw an elderly man, richly dressed walking in with a golden walking stick. Followed by the elderly man was Mr Lucas Wintershall, she smiled as she saw him and just then she opened her mouth ajar as she saw a young, handsome man walk in. He was the same man that helped her get away from the big boss.
"It's him again"
