" Happy birthday, Mike", Kira said to him with a sad smile. She felt so angry, sad and betrayed.
" Kira? What are you doing here? I thought you were off to work?", Mike asked totally stunned.
" Oh that", Kira smirked. "Don't worry about it, it was useless anyway. I requested for a day off today because I wanted to surprise my lovely boyfriend on his birthday but I was indeed the one who got surprised. I am just realising that my boyfriend is cheating on me with my step sister. Wow, just wow", She added painfully.
Sincerely, she wanted him to apologize and she was sure she would forgive him but he stood there without any remorseful expression on his face.
" Well,..... Since you found out your self, then good for you and thanks a lot for saving me the stress of telling you myself. You just need to understand that you are not and will never be on my level!", Mike responded arrogantly after a while. Kira felt her heart break into pieces as she heard what he said. So it was because she was a nobody.Now that she thought about it, she was indeed a nobody, she was the illegitimate daughter of the Arlo family. Her mom died when she was just twelve years old. "Just get lost already, would you ", Lilian said to her as she was starting to feel disgust looking at a crying Kira.
She wiped her tears and told them " It's fine. Happy birthday Mike, I hope you enjoy your birthday very well", she wished him before exiting the house.
" I never knew my sis could be this stupid and pathetic. I'm ashamed", Lilian said after she was out and Mike smiled.
