Being an illegitimate daughter of the Arlo family specifically, wasn't easy at all. Kira was being humiliated that even creatures who were supposed to respect her disrespected her a lot because she was the only family she had. Her mom died when she was twelve, she only realised she had a family when the maid got tired of taking care of her at least that was what she was told when she was younger. Truth was, her mom never wanted her to meet her cruel father but then unfortunately, she was killed by unknown sources and suddenly the always kind considerate maid dumped her and abandoned her with her family, The same maid who sold her mom's properties for money shortly after she abandoned Kira.
Kira just had no good life that a normal eighteen year old was supposed to have. And now because of this stupid boyfriend, she had lost her job and she was now homeless and jobless. She knew she had to go back home even if she didn't want to. She felt like giving up as she walked on the lonely Street of fifth avenue in new York city. But that was something he'd mom would never want her to do. While she was lost in thoughts, she bumped into someone, it was a man, he was wearing a black leather jacket of sought but she didn't even have the time to scan him through when she caught his cold gaze, she suddenly shivered slightly and quickly brushed it off with a smile as she said " oh I am so so sorry about that, i didn't see you", she apologized quickly and started walking very fast as she was heading home unaware of a cold pair of eyes watching her from afar....
Kira kept on walking as she didn't have any money to board a taxi. She was almost home and even though she did it rarely, she was still going to sneak into her room tonight to avoid scolding and mockery from her family.. She had made her decision and she was going to be serious about it. Even if change can be made in one day, she knew she would get there but right now she just wanted to look for means to get far away from her family at least that would give her space to think properly without disturbance, she didn't have the the money but she was determined they it by working hard.
As she approached the gate guarding her house, she was immediately let into the house but instead of heading towards the front door of the living room, she stopped in her tracks as she heard noises from inside the house. She sighed, they must have been awake. She brought out her phone and saw that it was past nine PM so she decided to change direction since she wasn't ready for an ugly banter tonight nor was she ready to be slapped by her dad. Letting out a sigh, she walked towards the other side of the building. Her room was in the third floor but she didn't seem to border as she Bagan to climb the wall with ease, she looked as though she had done it a lot of times before now and soon she was just in front of the balcony of her room. There was a railing guarding it so she jumped over and landed swiftly before gently opening the glass window and sneaking in through it. Oh, she was already good at this, wasn't she?
As she closes the glass window back, Kira locked the door first before letting herself fall tiredly on the bed. Today was really stressful, she thought. But her eyes became teary again as she remembered the days events.... But no tear fell as she held back from crying. She closed her eyes for a moment and relaxed after taking in a deep breath. When she opened her eyes again, they were filled with something new and that new something was recognised to be determination , there was no sign of hatred in her eyes but no! Just No! She would not cry for them anymore, she would just let all of them off her mind and she was certain she will make it in life. Who the hell was Mike that she couldn't do without him? To hell with the bastard!!! She was certain Her mom wouldn't be proud to see her daughter crying every day and night for some useless set of people who didn't know her worth.
She would just avoid them as much as possible and at that moment, Kira felt her ' I don't care' character come into action. She wasn't going to let anyone bully her anymore emotionally or physically, she just wanted to have free life and she was sure that wasn't a crime too. She wouldn't waste her tears in people who weren't worth it and she needed some one to rely on but she understood now that she had only her self to rely on because she felt there was no need in bothering her closest friend, Antoria.
So Kira was determined to start all over again and with time maybe her dad will be sensible enough to find out what really happened to her mother instead of being deceived by these good for nothing woman he called a wife. Sincerely, her step mom, Cindy was the most cruellest person she had ever met on earth and she was worst then a green snake in a green grass. Cindy was a very cunning woman whom no one would mess with because Kira endured as she messed with her father's mind who gradually turned against her for no reason.
She was eighteen now and officially an adult so she would just endure this for a little while. Right now, she needed to think properly. She would properly get a small job that would sustain her for now. Perhaps a job as a cook in a restaurant...
