Chapter 12 - Blade of Wind

Saying that, he made his clones vanish and then, he repeated the process. The only difference was that he didn't stop with the "plus" hand sign as he used the snake hand sign right after.

Hiruzen tilted his head as he watched Kira do his thing, but to his surprise, the kid in front of him immediately dismissed the clones, showing him that he wasn't standing at the place where he originally stood at.

"You... did you merge the clone jutsu and the substitution jutsu to do this?" Hiruzen asked.

Something like this was easy for him to guess. After all, he was nicknamed the professor. Originally, Kira used the clone jutsu first and once the clone came out, he'd then use substitution when an attack might hit him. But this time, it was different.

Kira nodded and began to explain, "The reason I did this is because if I use substitution a bit late, smoke will be generated. If that happens, people will be able to ignore all the extra clones and aim for the two where the smoke appeared. By merging both, I'll be able to keep up the air of mystery for a longer time.

If I use this in the middle of a fight when the clones are already out, then the jutsu will be recast. New clones will be formed and this means that there will be smoke everywhere the clones appear.

This consumes a bit more chakra, but is more fool proof."

One by one, Kira showed Hiruzen every single ninjutsu that he knew. Of course, everything except wood release. He didn't hide the shadow clones either and proudly showed them off.

Regular clones, substitution jutsu, shadow clones, shurikenjutsu and finally, taijutsu. Other than that, he also showed off his kikaichu bugs that could eat chakra from his targets.

"Impressive." Hiruzen commented after he saw everything Kira showed him, "Even without your Kikaichu, you could easily be ranked among the top genin. If I consider your bugs too, then you'd most probably be among the lower chunin levels."

Saying that, he took out a piece of paper and gave it to Kira, "Insert your chakra into this."

Kira, even though he knew what the paper was used for, showed a curious expression as he held it. As soon as he inserted his chakra into it, the changes began.

First, it split into two and then, the paper wrinkled up. Then it hardened up like a clay pot and soon after, it became wet. Lastly, steam shot up and turned the paper hard again.

As the paper crumbled into particles and fell, Hiruzen looked at Kira with his jaw hanging low.

He too could use all five chakra natures, but being born with all five was a different matter altogether. He didn't know anyone who was born with all five chakra nature. As for Kira learning to use all five? That was impossible as Hiruzen already asked Kakeru about Kira's training schedules.

At first, he thought that the kid was just a talented hardworker but who would have guessed that he was someone blessed by heavens?

As he stared at Kira in shock, his brain worked at high speeds.

'This must be kept a secret, especially Danzo. If he finds out, there's no end to the amount of trouble he'll bring to both me and Kira. I must talk to Kakeru about this as soon as possible. Kira must stay on the bright path no matter what. His potential to be the hokage in the future is very high.'

Once he was done sorting his thoughts, he composed himself and spoke, "Okay, let's go to the next part. Is there any jutsu that you want to learn?"

Kira looked up at him in confusion, "I don't know which jutsu is strong and which isn't so I'll leave that to you."

"No, you'll have to choose your first jutsu yourself. Come with me, I'll take you to the hokage office. I'll let you pick any one ninjutsu you want and I'll teach you that jutsu." Hiruzen said as he began walking towards his office.

"Okay!" Kira replied and followed him.

'This is the advantage of having people in top position as your teachers. Though, I wonder if he'll let me read the forbidden techniques.' he thought as they neared the hokage office.

Once inside, they headed straight to the storage room and once they were there, Hiruzen let him check out the scrolls and didn't mention anything about forbidden jutsus.

Considering this as an opportunity, Kira began to read the contents of the scrolls one by one and took his sweet time reading them. After a few minutes, he looked up at Hiruzen.

"Um teacher, there are too many scrolls in this room. Why don't you come and read with me instead of standing there?"

Hiruzen didn't know how to respond as he had already read everything. Why would he have to read them again?

Instead, he shook his head, "It's a part of your training. I'll be in my office so come to me when you're done reading everything in this room."

Instead of reading, he decided to give Kira a task instead and left the place with a smile on his face. As for why he was letting Kira read these valuable scrolls? It was because of intuition. An intuition that made him feel like Kira would one day become someone extremely formidable.

And if that was the case, then why shouldn't he support him during his early stages?

'Well, that was easy and unexpected.' Kira thought as he shifted his attention back to the scroll in his hand. He placed it back where it was and summoned his shadow clones.

From one, the population in the room increased to six. Every one of his clone got to work as they scoured through every single scroll one by one.

Seconds ticked by and almost 14 hours later, Kira grinned as he read the contents of a specific scroll.

"This one is interesting. Blade of Wind huh..."
