Mike got off the phone afterwards and even though Jack did not really know what was talked about between him and his father, he knew that something intense was brewing.
Mike's face was already red with anger which he could not hide as it was boldly written on his face. Jack did not know what to do, he wanted to talk to Mike and apologize to him, but he knew better than to do that because Mike might just pass the aggression on him.
Why is this man hell-bent on frustrating my life? Does he not have any atom of human feeling not to talk of some atom of love towards his own son to see that he didn't want this union? Mike thought angrily in his head.
