The leader, a fat man with a face full of horizontal meat and tattoos all over his body, as if he feared others wouldn't know he was a bad guy, looked at Chu Feng and Cui Jingyan sardonically and said, "I was wondering why the people downstairs said you weren't in, turns out you're here cozying up with Little White Face. What's the deal with this Little White Face, is his thing bigger than mine, or is he stronger than me that you're hiding from me?"
Cui Jingyan's expression changed upon hearing the fat man's words and said, "Tong Hu, please show some self-respect. Who I'm with is none of your business, and this is my office, please leave."
Chu Feng was aware of who Tong Hu was. Tong Hu was the notorious local gang leader. He had long coveted Cui Jingyan's beauty, but his methods were very despicable.
He either brought people to make trouble or sent his lackeys to cause disturbances, aiming to force Cui Jingyan to submit.
However, Cui Jingyan, though enchanting to the point of being a devil, was incredibly steadfast in her heart.
Tong Hu looked at Cui Jingyan with a cold laugh and said, "I'll leave if you want, but first, let's settle this month's fee."
Cui Jingyan's face changed at Tong Hu's words and countered, "Didn't I give you the money at the beginning of the month?"
Tong Hu sneered, "You gave me half a month's fee. I'm now collecting for the second half of the month."
Shivering with anger, Cui Jingyan retorted, "You have no shame!"
Tong Hu sneered, "Shameless? You're right, I am shameless. Either you spend a month with me, and I won't ask for your fee in the future, or the protection money doubles from now on."
After a pause, Tong Hu looked at Chu Feng with a wicked smile and said, "You like Little White Faces, don't you? I'll help you make this Little White Face even stronger first."
Having said that, Tong Hu gave a signal with his eyes to two of his burly men behind him.
At his command, the two men approached Chu Feng from the left and the right.
Seeing this, Cui Jingyan's face turned icy, "He's just a waiter here; this matter has nothing to do with him. If there's an issue, come at me."
With a vicious smile, Tong Hu said, "Perhaps it had nothing to do with him before, but since he touched you, it involves him now. Since you're pleading, I won't turn him into a eunuch; instead, I'll just break his two hands."
"Kid, you better not struggle, we can be gentler if you don't resist," one of the burly men said to Chu Feng with a perverse look on his face.
"Really? But I like it rough," Chu Feng replied with a cold smirk.
"You like it rough? Then we'll start by bursting your chrysanthemum first!" the burly man said, licking his lips after.
Sickened by such an action, Chu Feng immediately threw a kick.
"Bang!"
Chu Feng's kick landed squarely on the man's chest.
"Ah!"
With a scream, the burly man who weighed at least two hundred pounds was sent flying.
"Bang!"
The hefty body crushed Tong Hu behind it.
"You're looking for death!"
Seeing Chu Feng kick his companion away, the other man cursed and charged at Chu Feng.
Chu Feng grabbed the man by the neck with one hand and his belt with the other, then hoisted the man, weighing over two hundred pounds, off the ground with brute force.
Cui Jingyan, standing behind Chu Feng, looked at his giant strength with shock in her beautiful eyes.
Tong Hu stared at Chu Feng in amazement as the slender body exhibited such immense power.
"Bang!"
With a mighty heave, Chu Feng hurled the burly man onto Tong Hu and the other man.
The weight of two hundred pounds, compounded with Chu Feng's force, nearly popped Tong Hu's eyeballs out.
"Get lost, and don't let me see you at Golden Cauldron again!" Chu Feng spoke coldly.
With some difficulty, Tong Hu pushed his lackeys off himself, stood up looking fiercely at Chu Feng, and warned, "You're tough, kid, but I won't let you off."
Chu Feng stepped forward with a sardonic look at Tong Hu, "You're not ready to let me go, huh? Then it seems I truly need to root out the problem entirely."
Tong Hu felt an inexplicable fear in his heart as he looked at Chu Feng's sardonic smile.
"Let's go!" Tong Hu no longer dared to stay, hastily taking off with his two lackeys.
"Wow! You've really been hiding your lights under a bushel, huh? When Sister Yan was bullied by them before, why didn't I see you move a muscle? Sister Yan hasn't treated you poorly," Cui Jingyan started to pick on Chu Feng now that Tong Hu was gone.
Chu Feng turned to look at Cui Jingyan with her resentful expression and really wanted to rush over and get it on with her right there and then.
But as they say, you eat a meal one bite at a time, win over a girl one step at a time. Besides, Chu Feng wasn't one to bully the weak, deep down he was more of a submissive character, especially when dealing with someone who had shown him kindness.
Chu Feng stammered, "Sister Yan, I didn't know Tong Hu was so bad before. I was worried that getting involved would ruin your affairs."
"What a devil! An absolute devil!"
Chu Feng, because of the iron-hard reason, had no choice but to bend at the waist and say, "No! No! I honestly just didn't want to mess up your affairs, Sister Yan."
Cui Jingyan, far from a naive housewife like Qin Mei, had piercing insight and saw right through Chu Feng's excuse as she teased him, "No? Then why are you bending over? Stand up straight and talk to me if you can."
"This..." Chu Feng's face turned beet red, at a loss for words.
After struggling to reply, Chu Feng finally said, "Sister Yan, I'll go do my work now. This is the rest of the money I have from my hospital stay."
Facing such a devil, Chu Feng had to resort to the best plan he had — to beat a retreat.
"Wait!" Cui Jingyan called out to Chu Feng.
"Is there anything else, Sister Yan?" Chu Feng stopped and asked.
Cui Jingyan placed the money into Chu Feng's hand, "From now on, you're the captain of Golden Cauldron's security team. This is your salary for a month."
After saying that, Cui Jingyan's hand brushed across Chu Feng's stomach, "You'll be a bodyguard for Sister Yan from now on, stand up straight."
Chu Feng's face turned crimson, his heart nearly broken with embarrassment.
