Holding an umbrella, Yang Fan braved the heavy rain to reach Gao Lanlan's convenience store.
Pushing the door open, there was not only Gao Lanlan inside the store but, unexpectedly, Li Jia was also there.
Upon seeing Yang Fan, the expressions of both women changed slightly.
Expressions of soft affection immediately flashed in Gao Lanlan's eyes, while Li Jia seemed a bit embarrassed.
"Sister in-law Fu is here too," Yang Fan said with a smile as he greeted.
"Ah... I came to buy some soy sauce. What brings you here so early?" Li Jia's gaze shifted away, looking guilty; her cheeks quietly flushed red, as if she were thinking of something.
"What else could I do? It's only the absence of cigarettes that could get me out of bed this early in such weather. If I'm without cigarettes, it's even more torturous," Yang Fan laughed, "Is Old Fu at home?"
Li Jia's face, tinged with a touch of shyness, blushed even more, "He... He's there."
Involuntarily, she remembered the previous downpour.
