The night was deep, and Jiuxi Rose Garden was peaceful, the lights in Su Family's No.2 Villa were brightly lit.
In the ground floor hall, Mrs. Su checked the time and found it was close to midnight. She then turned off the TV and went upstairs.
In the study on the second floor, Su Yuxin sat at her desk as usual.
Unlike before, however, she wasn't focused on her work tonight but propped her chin with one hand. She appeared to be looking at the documents, but in reality, she was lost in thought, in a clear case of being physically present but mentally elsewhere.
Creak!
The sound of the door opening brought Su Yuxin back to reality. She looked up and was startled to see Mrs. Su standing at the study door.
"Yuxin, Doctor Ye said your health hasn't fully recovered yet, and you shouldn't stay up late. Go to sleep now," Mrs. Su said affectionately.
Su Yuxin forced a smile, "Mom, I'm not sleepy yet. You go ahead."
