Yun Mountain was located thirty kilometers southeast of Hanghu. It had once been a barren hill but, due to its beautiful scenery, a few years ago it was developed by a wealthy businessman into a tourist attraction. However, the number of visitors coming for sightseeing was not substantial, and it couldn't be compared with West Lake at all.
Because of the sparse number of visitors, the hotels and restaurants in Yun Mountain's tourism area had closed down one after another. The government-funded, high-standard, serpentine mountain road constructed for high speed traffic was left vacant and eventually became a dedicated racing track for the underground racing community of Jiangnan.
