The clanging and squishing kept on going for hours until a wolf howled, signaling for the others to withdraw.
Melissa stood rooted in a spot, at the center of it all, watching the whole fight go on. Avalor kept one eye on her as he finished off the last wolf that had been unfortunate.
"Are you alright?" Avalor asked me, running towards me, wiping away the beads of sweat that had formed on my forehead despite the fact that the night was cold.
Watching the whole fight unfold made it feel like the whole world was spinning around my feet. I did not even know what to do. "Yes!" I replied to Avalor's question, forcing a fake smile.
"Would you two lovebirds stop drooling and hovering over each other and let us face the real threat here?" George grudgingly said, rolling his eyes.
"I see that you both have forgetten that we have the enemy in our midst and that we need to decide what to do with him very fast." He added the moment we turned to face him.
