George, his heart pounding with a mixture of fear and anticipation returned to the pack. He found Avalor and I in the council room, engaged in a serious discussion with the elders and even the blind could feel the thst the atmosphere was tense, the air thick with unspoken words.
"What exactly do you suggest that we do?" One of the elders of the council questioned Avalor when George took up the courage to approach them.
Avalor who was rubbing his temple raised his head to see George. His face etched with a mixture of anger and disappointment as he fixed his gaze on George. "What do you want, George?" he asked, his voice cold and distant.
George immediately knew that something was going on with Avalor on hearing his cold voice. There was something in Avalor's eyes that made his knees wobble.
"The alpha is speaking to you, George!" One of the elders yelled at him impatiently.
