"Why is she still here?" Liam asked, puzzled by Nora's presence in his office. "Get her out. She doesn't work here anymore. Go tell who you want that I fired you but I would be careful because I can talk too."
"You're threatening me?" Nora asked, taking a step back. "I should have known that a man like you would get like this."
"You don't know me. That's where you made your mistake. The door," Liam pointed to the exit for Nora since she seemed to have trouble finding it. "Don't make me have to embarrass you by calling security. At least leave with your head up."
"I should go right to the cops and tell them that you were threatening to kill me," Nora said. She wished she had taken a page from Beth's book and recorded this conversation.
"Kill you?" Liam laughed. "Who said anything about that?"
Nora frowned, not liking that he was laughing at her, and she didn't understand why he was laughing at her. "You just said to be careful," she said.
