Veronica looked out the car window at the buildings they drove by. It was more peaceful to sit in a car with Liam than to be with a driver and someone else.
She heard his phone vibrating a few times and then it went silent. Someone desperately wanted to see him and she could make a good guess that it was his mother.
"If you need to meet with your family to stop them from bothering you, I don't mind. I might be their next target since they cannot get you to answer. I would rather you deal with them than me," said Veronica.
This wouldn't end until Liam talked to his mother or uncle.
"Talking isn't going to solve anything unless I decide to give them what they want, and I don't plan to, so there's nothing to talk about. I would turn off my phone, but I need to keep my eyes on the road. Can you do it?" Liam asked, quickly pointing to his phone.
