When she finally reaches her house, it is still standing. But then she looks around frantically-no one is there. Her family is nowhere to be found. Her heart wrings in despair, yet she gives up nothing. She runs out of her house and begins running through the village, screaming hoarsely, "Mom! Dad!" Around her, chaos reaches a fevered pitch. People are lying dying, homes burn to a crisp, and the village she once knew is being torn apart.
She feels like her lips are completely dry, that her throat is sore, and all emotion drained from her body. The world around her crumbles and she feels utterly lost. Then she hears something in the distance-a familiar voice-crying out. She runs toward it, and she finds Anya being torn apart by a Naxon. Tsumugi's legs give out beneath her with a helpless watch. She looks to her right, and Iruki has been crushed in the same fashion. Senseless, she drops to her knees, staring blankly out at the devastation.
