Harlan bit Kai, and the implication of what that meant was life threatening. Kai wrenched Harlan off and threw him to the ground with force.
Blood dripped from Harlan's mouth, and his body trembled with anger, but Kai was furious now. He punched Harlan's face several times and blood splattered with every hit.
Enraged, Kai reached into Harlan's chest. His fingers dug into the flesh, searching for his heart. Harlan gasped, with blood pooling in his mouth as Kai's hand wrapped around his heart.
"Damien!" Harlan gasped.
"Kai, stop!" Damien yelled, rushing forward. "This is madness!"
Kai grinned as his fingers tightened around Harlan's heart. "I could end you right now," he whispered. "Why should I let you see me weak and rabid from your bite? That's not my style."
Damien begged his brother one more time. Reluctantly, Kai pulled his hand out of Harlan's chest, wiping the blood on his shirt. "Pathetic," he muttered.
