The kingdom of Blumund arrested princess Sharia of the kingdom of Vetmund with her two other partners for the crime of attacking them using a red dragon. This change of events brought about uneasiness to Archduke Gonzalo and Vetmund kingdom as a whole. The dragon was the ace up their sleeve, and now that they've lost it, their kingdom was in a very vulnerable state.
"My king. I knew attacking Blumund with our dragon was a really bad idea. Now what shall we do?,"one of his advisors asked.
He heaved a heavy sigh for a while that shaked the advisors a little. They knew him as the most vicious and strongest king of all. Hearing him sigh heavily like this just showed them how much hurt he really was.
"I've been thinking for a while, and l..."
"Sorry to disturb you, Your Highness,"A guard interrupted him as he entered the palace wigh haste. "
"What is the meaning of this, you lousy good for nothing brat! Can't you see that the elders are busy with important issues,"one of the advisors snapped at the poor guard.
"I'm sorry,"he bowed down. "But we have an emergency. The prince of Blumund and his men are outside the castle as we speak right now. They claim they've came here to talk to you, your highness."
"Okay, bring them in. "
The guard opened the door, revealing Cyrus who was wearing a sparkling gold armor, his blonde hair dropped to cover one of his eye in a very stylish manner.
"Ew..,"he said in disguest as soon as he entered their palace. "So this is the palace of the infamous kingdom of Vetmund. I imagined it would be something more impressive considering you guys have been our enemies for quite some time now but clearly, the only thing you fools are impressive at is failure!,"he sneered.
The guards who were around raised their swords in the air and pointed them at him. They couldn't just listen to him trashing their King and their kingdom like that. Cyrus's men drew theirs out as well.
Archduke Gonzalo waved his right hand in the air, ordering the knights to keep their swords away.
"How dare you insult our kingdom in front of our king! We shall not tolerate such disrespect!,"Toi, his most trusted advisor growled, feeling very angry.
"Oh my.... is that a way to talk to your superiors. l thought coming to this kingdom was a bad idea. My father was saying I'll be walking straight into the lion's den, but clearly, l feel like l just walked into a den of mice."
The king stood up from his throne. "What do you want, prince of Blumund,"he asked with his heavy voice.
"I came to deliver this letter. It's from my father, the king of Blumund. It contains everything we want from your kingdom. You might call it a little punishment for sending that red fly hoping to destroy our land, but unfortunately, l was there. I took that dragon out with one spell. It was so pathetic, it made me laugh. l could feel sorry for it. "
Toi walked over to Cyrus, looking at him from top to bottom as if he was trying to gage if Cyrus was really capable of defeating a red dragon alone. He then reached out his hand and collected the paper then started reading it out loud for the king and his advisors to hear.
They gasped in shock listening to the demands mentioned in the paper.
"That's ridiculous. Where does Blumund think we'll get a thousand soldiers to give them for free, plus 500 000 gold coins on top."
"To top it up, they want half of our produce that we made this year."
"Your highness, please don't listen to this! If we accept to pay, our kingdom will fall. Our people will starve to death."
The advisors were all against accepting to pay. The king knew it was ridiculous to pay all of their demands at once, but they threatened to enslave his daughter if he didn't pay in 3 days.
"Thank you for coming, prince....?,"he paused."
"Its prince Cyrus, you fool. You should remember that name,"Cyrus said.
"Okay, prince Cyrus. I'll think about what your kingdom wants. I'll send a messenger in a day or so,"Archduke responded, not minding how he was insulted.
Cyrus let out a giggle. "I almost feel pity for you, king of Vetmund. Ruling over such mediocrity must be unbearable. No wonder why you sought war with us. You simply needed something to distract you from your inadequacies. Well, bye for now. Seee you next time."
Cyrus turned away and left with his men. He couldn't help but smirk to himself on his way home. His father had demanded for only five hundred gold coins, but he went ahead and added three zeros on the letter, making it five hundred thousand coins. If Vetmund pays the money, he'll be filthy rich.
As soon as he arrived back in Blumund, he was shocked to see the people he claimed to have killed, standing in front of the palace, healty and strong. He quickly jumped down from his horse wearing a look of despair on his face.
"You two? How... how did you survive?,"he asked in disbelief.
Athena and Mimi looked at him, and then kept quiet. They had other important matters to attend to. Restoring their master's mana was their top priority.
Cyrus felt angry at how the two commoners ignored him. He walked up to them in frustration and grabbed Athena by her shoulder. "I'm talking with you, you peasant. Do you know who I am? You must give me all the respect l deserve!"
In that moment, Lana walked out of Flynn's room holding Flynn by her hands, while she was accompanied by Victoria and Marvelous.
"Master!,"both Athena and Mimi yelled, heading over to see their master who was awake but still weak.
"Master! You're alive. You're alive master!,"they couldn't contain their excitement.
Lana put Flynn down as he tried walking by himself.
"Thank you two. You really saved me,"he said, looking at his two servants. They couldn't help but blush to their master's compliment.
He steadily walked outside where Cyrus was standing with a heavy chest. As soon as he stepped outside, the red dragon came flying from the sky and landed in front of him, then bowed its head down. Flynn touched it and patted it a little. His mother and father who were busy in a royal meeting came running downstairs when they heard that Flynn was awake. They hugged him and showed how much glad they were that he finally woke up.
"That's enough, humans!,"Lana snapped. "Stop hugging my man like that. He's still weak!"
Everyone stopped talking and turned her direction.
"What? Did she say Flynn is her man?,"Cyrus asked in a loud voice."
"Yes, he is my man. Do you have any problem with that?,"Lana asked with a stubborn look on her face.
"Yes. Yes, indeed. I have a problem with that. How can a dazzling beautiful lady like you say such a thing! If you desperately want a husband, then l can willingly offer myself to be yours,"Cyrus said in his usual pompous tone.
"No.... you're too ugly." She responded, holding Flynn's hands."
"I'm what? Lady, do you have any idea who I am? I am the first ..."
"I don't care. Now get lost!"
Cyrus couldn't believe it. It was his first time in his life to encounter someone with so much attitude towards her. It made him feel less of a royal prince. He couldn't let it end like that.
"Listen to me, you little worthless dryad. You're literary nothing but a seed grown from an oak tree. So trees like you should know their place,"he said.
Marvelous who was flying around Lana soon got excited. Finally, she had found a worthy target to torment.
"Lana... can l?,"she asked, glaring at Cyrus with a mischievous look."
"Yeah, do whatever you want with him, little kid. "
She growled. "I'm not little, you idiot!"
She turned her attention to Cyrus and looked at him straight in the eyes.
"Get away, you insect,"he said, waving his hand, trying to hit Marvelous like she was nothing but a fly.
In that moment, she casted a barrier around her and Cyrus. A barrier that couldn't be destroyed either from the outside or the inside. She gave him a murderous look while she opened a portal that went to the kingdom's sewage pipes and started draining all the dirty from there into the barrier. Then she walked out of the barrier, leaving Cyrus inside swimming in a pool of sewage with his royal golden armor. At first, he was sending threats but as the sewage reached the level of his chest, he started begging for help. It was miserable. The smell was too much for him to handle, not to talk about the fact that the sewage was about to reach his mouth. Marvelous just couldn't stop laughing and no one outside, including the king dared say anything to stop her. Well, until Apostle Seith arrived at the palace. He had heard a word that the fox girl was back in the kingdom again, so he wanted to come and give her divine punishment that she escaped from the last time.
"Guards! Catch her,"he ordered, and the guards quickly captured Mimi."
"What's going on, Mr Seith,"Flynn asked, but he didn't bother to respond to him. He only drew out his sword and pointed it on Mimi's neck.
"At last, divine judgment will be passed to the enemies of god,"he grinned, ready to strike."
