*DING DONG*
"Alright that's going to all were going to learn today class. Dismissed." Said the teacher.
I got up from my desk and went to towards the door. That was I was going to do until I was called by the teacher.
"Mr. Vazquez, could you please stay after class?" Asked my teacher.
"Alright."
After all the students went out, I was the only one left except my teacher.
"Alright Alex, I'm going to tell you something," the teacher then came closer to me.
"I suggest you to drop this course. Because to put it bluntly you have no talent in this course though as a teacher I should help you. But even I know that I can't even teach you."
" Alright if that's all you got to say I'll go." I responded.
I then left the classroom. I walked towards the exit and went to my dorm. Once I entered I immediately went to my room and layed on my bed. I looked towards the ceiling and gathered up my thoughts. I lifted myself off my bad and went to my computer. I went onto YouTube and just looked at my favorite YouTubers.
After a few hours of watching I fell asleep until I woke up by the sounds of music.
What... I looked up to the screen of my computer and saw a person playing guitar. I exited out of the full screen because I wanted to see who was playing. Who is Polyphia?
I was immediately locked onto the screen as I saw the main guitarist starting to do a solo. Woah! After the video ended I ended up seeing an ad about guitar afterwards.
"Are you someone who has no talents? Well have a try at guitar. You can become just like me * immediately does a solo * with practice just click the link or go to my site."
After the ad ended, I just looked at the screen.
" Who would buy a guitar after looking at an ad?"
I bought a guitar. We don't talk about why I did that.
I set the guitar case onto the ground and placed the amplifier onto my desk. I then opened up the guitar case and grabbed the guitar out of it. I don't know how to play one but the guy told me that everyone gets this guitar.
The guy said it was a Les... Paul. I don't even know why it's named that. I placed the guitar onto my bed. I kept looking at it. I then got the strap the guy recommended to me and put it onto the guitar. I then held onto the guitar.
I walked towards the the mirror to see how it looks on me. Damn...I look good with this guitar. I then posed in front of the mirror before cringing at myself. I went back to where the amplifier was. The same guy also recommended this supposed "beginner friendly amp" he also called it a Marshall... MG30 something I don't remember. I got this cord I think and connected it to the amplifier.
I then turned it on. The first thing I did was cover my ears because of the loud sound it started to make. Then my strap then came off which caused the guitar to fall to the ground
Fuck!
I then turned the volume down on the amplifier and then picked up my guitar. I placed the strap onto the guitar. I took a pick and strummed the strings.
"Why...does .... My guitar....sound...bad?" I spoke while I typed onto my computer.
Lots of videos started to pop out. I checked the answer that it said.
Tuning? What's that?
Hmm...oh that's what the guy said to me. He said that I should tune the guitar before playing your guitar every time I play it. I grabbed the tuner that the guy told me it should help me with tuning it.
Where do I put it... Ah right here! Now how do tune it. I strummed the strings and saw that the tuner blinked either red or green with every string. I grabbed the pegs on the guitar because maybe it tunes the guitar.
I twist the peg and saw the tuner turned green.
"Finally I got to tune one of them. Now for the rest." I said to myself.
I did the rest of them. I strummed it once again and heard that the strings are not in sync. I grabbed the guitar book and looked through the page to find a answer to my problem.
EADGBE?
Eddie, ate, dynamite, Good, bye , Eddie? Man this doesn't even make sense.
Damnit. I tuned the guitar once again to what the book said. I once again, man this is getting boring. But I strummed the strings and heard the strings started to be in sync.
Now! Time to play. I looked towards the book.
Alright, you got your first guitar. Maybe it was a due to someone giving it to you, or you got inspired by someone. Well either way, you got a guitar. This first thing we'll have you learn is the name of the strings.
It said the thing I was confused about.
Confused? No worry's! This saying is how we remember the strings on the guitar . Eddie stands for the thickest string, Ate stands for the one below the other one , Dynamite stands for the one after, good is the one after and it goes on.
We'll start with the thinest string which is the high e string.
