Chapter 3 - Practice makes perfect

Pluck the thin string first.

I looked towards my guitar and did what the guy said.

If you done it correctly, well congrats you just learned your first not-

I immediately went towards the middle of the book and was immediately struck by the immense writing that I don't even know. I just turned back to the page it was on.

If your an idiot and interrupted the lesson just to look ahead well congrats you just saw the notes on the treble staff. But let's no get ahead ourselves. Your just a beginner and don't know how to read for shit.

Now back to what I was talking about. You just learned your first note. Now let's practice. If you got a metronome please get it out because we're going to use it. Set it to 92 beats per minute or BPM for short. As you can notice you hear a noise. Its in a rhythm as you hear it makes a noise every 4 beats. If that's what your hearing, you just learned another thing. You just learned about time signature.

Now try to pluck the Hight e string to the beat of the metronome.

I started to learn a bit of guitar. I pluck the string to the metronome. As I tired to pluck the string to the metronome but I always end up not being in sync to the beat.

If your struggling to get in sync with the metronome don't worry. As time goes by your body will naturally be in sync to the beat. Always remember no one is great or talented at first at guitar we always have our beginnings.

When I read that part of the guitar book I felt even more inspired to play my guitar more. So I left the metronome on and kept trying to be in sync with the metronome. The book was right. After an hour into practicing to be in sync with the metronome I was able to stay with the tempo.

I then looked back at the guitar book to read what was next.

If you have practiced for about an hour just to get in sync with the metronome stop here for today. Having a good schedule with guitar practice is a good habit if you want to learn.

But for those who want to practice a bit more before finishing for the day practice this:

Work on your posture with holding your guitar.

Practice on how to hold a pick.

And finally work on being in sync with the metronome.

You may wonder, why I should do this? For many guitarist incorrect posture and holding a pick improperly may hinder their guitar playing. And for the metronome it's not necessary to know how to be In sync with the metronome but for many guitarist it helps them improve with playing.

It just felt like I just had a whole lesson with an actual guitar teacher. But it felt like I was just left at a Cliff hanger. I want to get better at guitar so I'll practice what it said. I went to the beginning of the book and looked at the posture that the book talked about. I saw what the supposed proper posture is.

When having a strap on the guitar it is important to have it to your comfort and easy accessibility to the strings.

I adjusted the strap to a comfortable position. Afterwards I focused on to how hold the pick. It said to put between my index finger and my thumb.

I looked up towards the clock and saw it was already 7:00 pm. I put my guitar back into its case and disconnected my amp and placed it under my desk with my guitar off to the side. I went out of my dorm room and went to my dorm kitchen and just cooked up some ramen noodles.

I know it isn't healthy to eat this type of food but I don't know how to cook proper food for myself. After I was finished with the food, I went to my local gym that was inside the campus. I listened to some music while doing some exercises. I did some spotting too but the people who asked me to spot usually was able to do it.

I witnessed some of those "influencers" in the gym get mad at people messing up their video or live. It felt like my day has been like just a filler episode like what those who watch anime say.

As I walked back to my dorm I saw this beauty. A raven brunette with Tanisha skin with clothes that matched with her hair.

"She out of my league and probably is a fucking slut. Maybe not the last part though." I said out loud as I passed her.

She was talking to her friend over the phone and probably didn't here what I said about her I think. I walked to my dorm and grabbed a small bottle of fireball. I went to my room and sat down on a chair. I drank the tiny bottle of fireball and went to sleep. I knew I didn't shower or brush my teeth but I was already tired from the whole day. I set an alarm for tomorrow morning.

I closed my eyes and went to sleep well tried at least. I had a lot in my head which mostly was about how I tomorrows practice would be about. I don't even have any friends so I have a lot of free time.
