Alastor silenced the incoming notifications, intending to deal with them later. He had more pressing matters. He stared down at Wan He's lifeless body, the chest riddled with stab wounds. Alastor sighed. Time to disappear.
He crossed the room to the wardrobe and retrieved Kaleb's unconscious form. Methodically, he stripped himself and dressed Kaleb in his cloth, then donned his own attire. Hefting Kaleb's limp body, he carried him over to Wan He's corpse and gently laid him down. Alastor then produced a small vial from his pocket – the same one he'd used earlier to revive the young man at the Golden Palace.
As he was about to administer the vial's contents to Kaleb, something caught his eye. Wan He's phone, which had been dropped during their struggle, lay on the floor. The screen illuminated with a new message notification.
