A small contingent of other guards fell into step behind them, their faces grim, as they ascended the grand staircase towards Kaleb's room.
The mansion, usually bustling with activity, felt desolate. Kaleb's guests, along with Kaleb himself, had been taken to the Heroes Association headquarters for questioning. The sprawling residence now housed only security personnel and Heroes Association officials, who remained on-site, meticulously combing through the scene for any clue that might shed light on the tragic events that had unfolded.
