As the back of the truck rumbled open, the eyes of the group inside flickered towards the entrance. Their gazes fell upon Wan Yu and the man beside him, but they quickly looked away, their eyes downcast. They sat tired and listless, almost as if drugged.
"Look at them. They've been brainwashed and are ready for deployment," the man next to Wan Yu said.
Wan Yu nodded, his brow furrowing slightly as he scanned the individuals in the truck bed, his gaze moving from one person to the next. None of them were shackled or restrained in any visible way, yet none attempted to escape. They remained seated, helpless as sheep awaiting slaughter.
"Good. Tell your men to transport them directly to the facility. They'll be needed there," Wan Yu said with a nod, seemingly pleased with what he saw.
"Okay," the man replied, signaling to two others with him. The two men climbed into the cab of the truck and drove away. The remaining man stayed behind to brief Wan Yu.
