"Aarrgh!" Evil Alastor roared, ripping through the chains that bound him. Immense strength surged through him, a welcome change after an eternity trapped in the dark domain, his powers, senses, and very being suppressed. He spun around, alert for any sign of the terrifying overlord who had imprisoned him. But the oppressive presence was gone.
His gaze fell upon a figure nearby, sitting cross-legged in a meditative pose, eyes closed. A dark orb floated before him. Evil Alastor grinned, a cruel expression twisting his features.
"How foolish," he sneered. "You think you can assimilate the Shadow Fragment so easily? Do you have any idea how long it took me to even approach my current state?"
At his words, Alastor's eyes snapped open, fixing on his evil counterpart. A smile spread across his face.
"Oh, you're free at last?" he said.
