X City, Douyu University - Men's Dormitory.
A dozen male students were gathered on the rooftop, grilling slices of the second-order red-winged python Yun Yun had killed earlier. The students had discovered the meat was edible and, driven by hunger, decided to throw a barbecue party. The smoky aroma of python meat filled the air as conversations sparked around them.
"We were supposed to get supplies today. Why haven't they arrived yet?" one student grumbled, flipping a piece of python meat.
"Who cares, man! At least we've got food to eat right now," replied another, shrugging off the delay.
"True. But seriously, shoutout to that beautiful woman who took down the python!"
"I heard she's Yuto Saito's wife. Isn't that insane?"
"Wait, isn't Su's wife Ni Shuang? What's going on with the blue-haired beauty then?"
"Who knows? Maybe they're both his wives. In times like these, a man as strong as Brother Su deserves a couple, right?"
The group laughed, but their lighthearted mood was short-lived. Unbeknownst to them, a kilometer away, a deadly swarm of snakes was making its way toward the university. The male red-winged python they had been feasting on had a mate—a second-order female snake—leading a group of first-order pythons and a horde of smaller, zero-order snakes. Vengeance was slithering towards them.
The school's military supply vehicle had already been ambushed by the snake swarm, and the soldiers inside had been bitten to death. The 500-strong snake army was now creeping closer to the campus.
Back in the dormitory, Xian Moumou was chatting with friends on his phone when Cai Cheng burst into the room, panting. "Master, they're grilling snake meat on the rooftop! The smell is driving me crazy."
"Then go grab a slice. That python was huge. There's plenty to go around," Xian said, not looking up from his phone.
"Nah, I ate some instant rice earlier. I'm good," Cai Cheng replied with a grin.
"Lazy as always. Su Ge gave us supplies, and you're not even saving them?" Xian teased.
"I believe in eating well to work well," Cai Cheng shot back, still smiling. "By the way, where's Brother Su?"
"Nazi told me he went to the Magic Capital," Xian said, finally putting down his phone.
"The Magic Capital? Why travel so far?" Cai Cheng asked, puzzled.
"He's probably hunting zombies again, collecting spar for something big. Who knows what Brother Su's got planned," Xian guessed.
Just then, Liang Fu and Wang Pin barged into the room, panic written all over their faces.
"Brother Xian! It's bad—there's a group of snakes outside!" Liang Fu blurted out.
"Snakes? Are they here for revenge for the giant python we killed?" Xian's heart sank.
"It's possible," Wang Pin said, sweating. "Snakes are known to live in groups, and all those students are grilling its meat. They might be coming for us."
Xian grabbed his coat. "We need to check this out."
The group rushed out and made their way to the corridor, where they were greeted by a chilling sight: hundreds of snakes, large and small, slithering across the lawn. In the center of the swarm was a massive second-order python, almost as large as the one they had previously killed.
"There are too many of them!" Xian said, his voice low.
"We can't handle this many snakes on our own. We need to call Brother Su!" Liang Fu urged.
"But he's all the way in the Magic Capital," Xian replied, frustrated.
"Then call the military for backup!" Cai Cheng suggested, pulling out his phone to dial emergency services. But every line was busy. Chaos had erupted throughout X City, and the police were overwhelmed.
"Master, I can't get through to anyone. What should we do?" Cai Cheng's voice wavered with fear.
Xian grimaced and pulled out his phone. "I'll call Yuto. Maybe he's already on his way back."
Meanwhile, Yuto Saito and the girls were relaxing in their floating island villa, sipping juice when his phone rang. He checked the caller ID before answering, "Hello?"
On the other end, Xian's voice was filled with urgency. "Brother Su, there's a horde of snakes attacking the school. Are you back in X City yet?"
"I'm still in the Magic Capital," Yuto said, frowning. "Is there a high-level python among them?"
"Yeah, a second-order giant python, along with hundreds of smaller ones. We can handle the weaker ones, but there are just too many!" Xian reported, his voice tight with worry.
"Snakes hate alcohol, realgar, tobacco, and fire," Yuto said calmly. "Use whatever you can to resist them. I'll send Nako to assist, and I'll be back soon."
"Nako?" Xian hesitated. "Can she handle it?"
"Don't underestimate her," Yuto replied with a reassuring smile. "I'm heading back immediately."
After hanging up, Yuto turned to the girls. "We're returning to X City."
Natto nodded, "It's about time. The military has sent another 50,000 troops to the Magic Capital. I think they'll have the situation under control soon."
The floating island began to rise into the sky, accelerating at its top speed towards X City.
Ni Shuang, curious, asked, "Xiao Tutu, were they talking about snakes just now?"
Yuto nodded. "Yes. Remember when Xiaoyun killed that red-winged python? These snakes might be coming for revenge."
Yun Yun's face darkened. "I hope they can hold out until we get back."
"We'll be there in twelve minutes," Yuto said, glancing at his watch.
"So fast?" Mina asked, surprised.
"The floating island's top speed is ten times faster than an airplane," Yuto explained. "Mina, contact Nako. She'll need to hold off the snakes until we arrive."
Mina quickly dialed Nako's number.
In the female dormitory, Nako was relaxing, feeling pleased with herself. Her level had recently increased to three, and with new attributes and talents gained from Yuto Saito, she felt stronger than ever.
Her phone rang, and she saw Mina's name on the screen.
"Hello, Mina!" Nako greeted cheerfully.
"Nako, there's a snake swarm attacking the school," Mina said urgently. "Yuto asked you to help hold them off. We're on our way back to X City now!"
"A snake swarm?" Nako echoed, her excitement growing. This could mean more spar for Yuto Saito.
"I understand," Nako said, steeling herself for battle. She grabbed the long spear Yuto had given her, ready to face the challenge.
Stepping outside the dormitory, she saw the sea of snakes approaching the boys' dormitory in the distance. Her heart pounded with anticipation. With a deep breath, she summoned her flight ability. Invisible wings unfurled from her back, shimmering in the sunlight as she soared into the air, her spear gleaming in hand, ready to face the horde.
