Nako hovered above the lawn, spear in hand, her invisible wings glistening faintly as she eyed the second-order red-winged python. The serpent hissed, its crimson scales shimmering ominously in the dim light. Without hesitation, Nako dove, aiming her spear directly at its vulnerable spot, seven inches below its head.
The python retaliated, lashing out with its massive tail, but Nako gracefully twisted in midair, dodging the strike. With a swift motion, she plunged the spear deep into its body. The serpent writhed, its powerful muscles convulsing in pain.
Back in the boys' dormitory hallway, Xian Moumou and his companions watched in disbelief.
"Is that... Nako? She's taking on that monster alone!" Cai Cheng stammered, eyes wide.
Liang Fu was equally stunned. "She's flying! Since when can she fly?"
"I had no idea she had this kind of power," Xian Moumou replied, shaking his head in amazement. "Let's not stand here gawking. We need to help with the smaller snakes. She can handle the big one."
Though still nervous, Cai Cheng nodded. "Right, I'll take care of the smaller ones." Together with Wang Pin, Tony, and Lan Chui, they rushed down to assist.
On the battlefield, Nako remained laser-focused. The python, weakened but still dangerous, tried to strike again. With a flurry of precise jabs, she pierced the serpent's thick hide multiple times. Finally, with one last powerful thrust, she hit its vital spot, and the red-winged python collapsed, its enormous body twitching before going still.
Nako hovered above the lifeless creature, breathing heavily but triumphant. As the adrenaline began to subside, two white spar stones and a golden healing balm appeared from the python's corpse. Grinning, Nako scooped them up, tucking them into her ring. "Yuto Saito will be so proud," she murmured, her eyes alight with confidence.
Emboldened by her victory, she set her sights on the smaller snakes. With effortless strikes, she eliminated them one by one, her spear a blur of motion. Soon, the lawn was littered with hundreds of snake corpses, and Nako had collected a trove of spar.
Meanwhile, in the girls' dormitory, Zhou Shuyi and her friends stood on the balcony, watching the scene unfold.
"Who is that girl?" Luo Xin gasped. "She's unstoppable!"
"That's Nako from Mina's dorm," Zhou Shuyi replied. "She's a beast! Last time, it was Mina who fought off a giant rat, and now Nako is cleaning up this mess."
"Do you think it's something to do with Yuto Saito?" Luo Xin wondered aloud. "Maybe he has some secret power or potion that makes them this strong."
Zhou Shuyi shrugged. "Who knows? But whatever it is, it's working. I might ask Mina to introduce me to him."
The thought of joining such a powerful group excited the girls. Zhou Shuyi, determined not to be outdone, stepped down into the chaos. "I'm going to take out a few snakes myself. Maybe I'll earn some spar and get a nice reward later."
Downstairs, Nako's spear continued to flash as she mowed through the swarm of serpents. Her movements were fluid and precise, and soon, she had cleared out hundreds of the creatures. She paused briefly to collect more spar, her grin widening with every new treasure.
In the midst of the battle, a few snakes had slipped inside the boys' dormitory. In room 109, a student lounged, oblivious to the danger as he indulged in his favorite pastime—watching movies. His peace was abruptly shattered when a bamboo leaf green snake slithered under his door and bit his leg.
The student jumped up in shock, stomping on the snake with all his might. But the bite had already delivered its venom. Though not lethal, it left him writhing in pain. Other students on the first floor weren't as lucky; they had fallen victim to a cobra and lay frozen in place.
Xian Moumou and his group arrived just in time to help. Using his mind power, Xian Moumou quickly neutralized the smaller snakes, clearing the area with ease. Cai Cheng, still shaking off his fear, managed to take down several more, while Wang Pin, determined to help, fought alongside them, collecting spar as they went.
On the lawn, Nako stood amidst the sea of dead snakes, panting but victorious. She had single-handedly slain over 300 serpents and gathered a mountain of spar. Wiping sweat from her brow, she couldn't help but smile. "Yuto Saito will definitely praise me for this."
Her heart swelled with pride, knowing she had made a significant contribution to the team. As she caught her breath, she noticed another group of snakes heading toward the girls' dormitory. Without hesitation, she took off in pursuit, her spear ready for more.
Inside, Zhou Shuyi was already on the move. Summoning her fire ability, she scorched the nearest snakes, reducing them to ash. A white spar floated from the remains, and Zhou Shuyi snatched it up, her face lighting up with glee.
"I got another one!" she called out to her friends.
"Zhou Zhou, you're incredible!" Shu Nana cheered, clapping her hands. "We're definitely having a feast tonight!"
