As they reached the ground floor, Ni Shuang suddenly recalled something. "My sister has a car too," she said. "Should we take it, or do we collect supplies first?"
Yuto Saito considered it. "We could drive separately, but it might be better if we stick together. What do you think?"
After a moment of thought, Ni Shuang decided, "Let's take the same car. It's safer, and we can talk on the way."
Her real motive was clear—she wanted to stay close to Yuto Saito. If she drove her sister and Natto away, Yuto would be left alone, and she wasn't keen on that idea.
Yuto Saito suggested, "Maybe you should stay here with your sister while I collect the supplies. It'll be quicker."
But Ni Shuang shook her head firmly. "No, I want to come with you."
She wasn't about to let Yuto Saito, with his impressive strength, out of her sight. This man wasn't going anywhere without her.
Natto, observing the interaction, covered her mouth and giggled. She was convinced that Ni Shuang was smitten with Yuto Saito.
Arriving at a white BMW 5 Series, Yuto Saito opened the rear door. Ni Shuang gently placed her sister, Yun Yun, in the back seat, then climbed in beside her. "Natto, you sit in the front," she instructed.
"Okay," Natto replied, slipping into the passenger seat.
Yuto Saito took the driver's seat. As they settled in, Natto glanced at her phone and gasped. "Oh my God, people are swarming the SM mall, buying everything!"
Yuto Saito sighed. "We're already behind. Luckily, I cleared out the Walmart mall earlier."
"Walmart and SM are the biggest malls in X City," Ni Shuang remarked. Then she pointed to another shopping center. "What about the Panji Mall?"
Yuto Saito shook his head. "Panji only sells luxury goods. Right now, food and supplies are what matter."
But despite his words, Yuto Saito found himself opening the car door and heading toward Panji Mall.
Seeing this, Ni Shuang and Natto burst into laughter.
"Yuto Saito is so funny," Natto chuckled. "He just said we shouldn't go there!"
Ni Shuang teased, "No one can resist the lure of luxury!"
Once inside Panji Mall, Yuto Saito made his way through the high-end stores selling bags, perfumes, and watches. Remembering the pleasant scent of Yun Yun's perfume, he decided to grab a few items—might as well make the trip worthwhile.
Ten minutes later, he returned to the car with a satisfied expression.
Ni Shuang grinned. "How much did you take?"
"Everything," Yuto Saito replied coolly, handing her a bag and a bottle of perfume.
"Thank you," Ni Shuang said sweetly, appreciating the gifts.
Natto, still a bit nervous, asked, "Yuto Saito, if you take so much, won't the authorities come after you?"
But Ni Shuang was unfazed. "With his strength? There's no way. Besides, it's the apocalypse—police stations are probably in chaos."
Yuto Saito nodded. "Exactly. We're on our own now."
Impressed by her quick thinking, he gave Ni Shuang a thumbs-up. "Smart thinking."
It was no wonder Ni Shuang had been so formidable in her previous life—she had a knack for adapting quickly.
Yuto Saito also handed a bag to Natto. "This is for you. You can pick out more stuff later."
"Thank you!" Natto beamed, clutching the bag happily.
As Yuto Saito started the car, he glanced at Yun Yun, lying quietly in the back. Her curves were accentuated by the position, and her fragrance lingered in the air. Yuto Saito shook off the thoughts, focusing on the task ahead.
He drove toward a nearby food court, known for its variety of specialties and a large grain storage warehouse—an ideal spot for gathering supplies.
Meanwhile, across town in a university dormitory, four young women—Xiao Juzi, Yu Ruoruo, Mina, and Zhang Feina—were huddled together, discussing their newly awakened talents.
The four beauties were an anomaly, as it was rare for an entire dormitory to awaken.
"I awakened enhanced recovery!" Yu Ruoruo announced playfully. "I can instantly restore my physical and mental strength to full!"
Xiao Juzi looked at her enviously. "That's amazing! I've awakened heightened hearing, like the ears of the wind."
"That's a great ability," Yu Ruoruo reassured her. "You'll be the first to detect danger."
Curious, Xiao Juzi asked, "What about you two? What did you awaken?"
Mina, with her alluring figure, smirked. "I've got charm."
Yu Ruoruo tilted her head in confusion. "Charm? How does that work?"
Mina demonstrated by using her charm ability on Yu Ruoruo, who instantly fell under her spell.
"Call me sister," Mina commanded.
"Sister," Yu Ruoruo responded obediently, much to the shock of Xiao Juzi and Zhang Feina.
Mina then canceled the effect.
"What just happened?" Yu Ruoruo asked, bewildered. "Why did I call you sister?"
Xiao Juzi laughed. "You were under Mina's control."
Yu Ruoruo stared at Mina in awe. "That's so powerful! Just don't use it on us too much, okay?"
Mina nodded, acknowledging the power but noting its limitations. "It's useful, but it only works on one target at a time, and it drains a lot of mental energy."
Yu Ruoruo grinned. "Don't worry! With my enhanced recovery, I can help you recharge instantly!"
Xiao Juzi clapped her hands excitedly. "You two together are unstoppable!"
Mina nodded, then turned to Zhang Feina. "What about you, Nazi?"
Zhang Feina smiled. "I can fly. I've got invisible wings."
"Invisible wings?" Xiao Juzi echoed in surprise. "That's incredible!"
Yu Ruoruo hummed, "I've always had a pair of invisible wings, they lift me up and give me hope!"
Xiao Juzi cut her off with a laugh. "Enough singing! Let's focus on how we can work together if we encounter zombies. I'll be the lookout, listening for any movement. Then we can plan our attack."
Zhang Feina added, "My flying ability is perfect for escaping or relocating quickly. But for fighting zombies, Mina's charm will be crucial."
Mina nodded. "Juzi's hearing is great for gathering intel, Nazi's flying is perfect for evacuation, and I'll control the zombies. Ruoruo will support me with her recovery."
"Sounds like a plan!" Yu Ruoruo agreed with a smile.
Xiao Juzi grinned. "With the four of us working together, even zombies won't stand a chance!"
