Both Lin Xiao Feng and An Nuan left the hall early. The guests did not say that much, knowing the situation was complicated. In the end, the guest left with their stomach full and something to gossip on.
"An Nuan." Lin Xiao Feng called as he walked An Nuan to the elevator. He waited for An Nuan to turn around to look at him. "You should stay at the hotel today. Don't go back to your place if you don't want to run into that person."
An Nuan naturally understood that Lin Jun Xuan was talking about Pei Zhi Yi.
"I have talked to Yu Han," Lin Xiao Feng continued. "He will ensure that you will be safe as long as you stay here. Tomorrow, Zhang Yu Han will send someone to escort you to the airport. But of course, if you want to meet that person, no one will stop you."
An Nuan lowered her gaze. "I am not going to see him."
The look on Lin Xiao Feng's eyes turned gentler as he heard An Nuan's words. He could not deny that he was feeling nervous about An Nuan meeting Pei Zhi Yi again.
From what he knew, An Nuan and Pei Zhi Yi had been together for several years. Her feelings towards him should be rooted down.
An Nuan might be his wife. However, if An Nuan said that she wanted to end her cooperation with him and get back to Pei Zhi Yi, Lin Xiao Feng might agree to her request.
In the end, he just wanted to see An Nuan happy.
He could not force An Nuan to like him. Lin Xiao Feng knew that he would have to work hard as long as An Nuan had no plan to get together with Pei Zhi Yi.
"Have you booked your flight for tomorrow?" Lin Xiao Feng asked.
"Mmm… Ren Di and I are going to take the first flight in the morning. I wanted to leave the city as quickly as I could."
"You can stay in one of Yu Han's hotels in T Country. I usually get a huge discount whenever I visit."
An Nuan chuckled, knowing how close Lin Xiao Feng's relationship with his group of brothers was.
Lin Xiao Feng took out his wallet and pulled out a card. "You should have this."
An Nuan stared at the card in Lin Xiao Feng's hand but did not move to take it from him. "Xiao Feng, I really don't need to have this. I still have my own money."
"I still want you to have this." Lin Xiao Feng took An Nuan's hand and placed the card in her hand. "You don't have to use it now. Just keep it in case of an emergency. It might be useful in the future. There is no spending limit. I will text you the passcode later."
"No spending limit?" An Nuan smiled. "Lin Xiao Feng, are you not afraid that I might spend all of your money?"
"You can try."
He did not believe that An Nuan would be able to make him go bankrupt.
Lin Xiao Feng touched the top of An Nuan's head briefly. "You should go to rest. Don't worry about things in Y City. I will help you to manage everything. If you need anything, you can always contact me."
An Nuan nodded. She stared at Lin Xiao Feng's face for a long time and smiled. "Lin Xiao Feng, I really need to thank you for today. You helped me a lot. You are really a good friend."
Lin Xiao Feng felt a dull pain in his heart.
In the end, he was still An Nuan's friend.
"Don't mention it," Lin Xiao Feng said. "It's not like I marry you without a benefit."
An Nuan knew that Lin Xiao Feng's help was incomparable to what she could do for him. "When I return from this vacation, I will treat you to a meal."
Lin Xiao Feng wanted to reject the offer but then, he realized that he would have a chance to go on a date with his wife. Whether An Nuan could treat him to a meal or not depends on who will pay the bills the fastest.
"Alright." Lin Xiao Feng chuckled. "Just tell me when you come back."
After changing a few more words, An Nuan headed to a room that Zhang Yu Han had prepared for her.
She pushed the door open and looked at her surroundings with a dazed look on her face.
Everything was too dark and the silence in the room was deafening.
This was her wedding day and it was supposed to be her wedding night. However, she married someone else and will have to spend her first night alone.
An Nuan could not describe what she was feeling right now.
The pain around her heel snapped her out of her trance.
An Nuan kicked off her high heels and turned on the light before she walked into the room.
She sat on the mattress and lay down in her dress.
Too many things happened today and she was too tired of everything.
The scene from the morning appeared in her mind.
An Nuan remembered waking up in the morning in excitement. Then, the scene where Pei Zhi Yi came to fetch her came to her mind.
It was their wedding day and they were both happy.
An Nuan remembered the shy look on Pei Zhi YI's face when he saw her in her wedding dress.
He looked as excited as her to get married.
An Nuan could not understand how Pei Zhi Yi had the heart to leave her for someone else on her wedding day.
She did not care what sort of an emergency Sun Jiao was facing.
Pei Zhi Yi was not supposed to leave.
