An Nuan was unaware that Pei Zhi Yi was making a scene at the hotel. Because of her wedding, An Nuan had turned her phone off and kept it in a safe place. Therefore, Pei Zhi Yi would not be able to reach for her number even if he wanted to.
Later, she was preoccupied with so many things that she had no time to look at her phone.
The moment she woke up, An Nuan looked around her room and realized that she was alone in the hotel room in her wedding dress.
Last night, she cried herself to sleep. She had no time to remove her makeup or change her clothes into something comfortable.
An Nuan lay on the mattress while staring at the ceiling with a dazed look on her face. Once she composed her thoughts, she finally alighted from the bed and took off her dress.
She went to the bathroom to wash up and was not surprised to see her swollen eyes.
An Nuan made a mental reminder to ask for some ice from the kitchen later so that she could reduce the swelling around her eyes.
She came out of the bathroom again in her bathrobe.
An Nuan turned on her phone and finally saw the nonstop notifications.
Her heart warmed when she saw the concerned texts from her friends and family.
Those who came to her wedding yesterday knew that Pei Zhi Yi left and she had chosen to marry someone else. Reading their encouraging words let her know that there were a lot of people who still cared about her.
The smile on An Nuan's face gradually disappeared when she saw the texts from Pei Zhi Yi.
Pei Zhi Yi demanded to meet her so that he could explain the reason he had to leave.
Seeing that she was not responding, Pei Zhi Yi then told her that Sun Jiao had an accident and he had to accompany her to the hospital.

An Nuan peeked into the hole and saw that her friend, Ren Di was standing outside her door. The moment An Nuan opened the door, Ren Di gave her a look over. Her gaze stayed on An Nuan's eyes for a long time. "Nuan Nuan, you…"
"Come in first." An Nuan stepped aside to make room for her friend. "We will talk later."
Ren Di pursed her lips. She stepped into the room while dragging her suitcase with her. Once she reached the living area, Ren Di turned around to look at An Nuan again.
Her expression drooped when she saw An Nuan's swollen eyes. "Nuan Nuan, are you alright?"
"I'm fine." An Nuan tried to smile. "Is my eyes that bad?"
Ren Di nodded. "You are going to need sunglasses before we head to the airport."
An Nuan laughed.
"You can still laugh." Ren Di heaved a sigh.
"Well, I cried a lot last night." An Nuan chuckled. "I can't cry anymore. Or else, I won't be able to open my eyes."
Ren Di stepped closer to touch An Nuan's face. Her heart was in pain as she saw the calm look on An Nuan's face. Ren Di thought that An Nuan was too calm. She would prefer seeing An Nuan throwing tantrums and causing trouble to vent her anger.
"Have you packed your bags?" An Nuan avoided Ren Di's gaze. "We will be going to T Country for a week."
"Of course." Ren Di nodded.
Sensing that An Nuan wanted to avoid talking about Pei Zhi Yi, Ren Di decided to play along.
"But, An Nuan, are we still heading to T Country? Pei Zhi Yi will not be looking for you there, right?"
"Well, we will be staying at a different hotel," An Nuan said. "Pei Zhi Yi will give up looking for me in T Country once he finds out that I am not staying in the hotel where we were supposed to go. As for the hotel… Well, Lin Xiao Feng suggested that we stay at The Orchid Hotel. His friend is the owner of the hotel. We can get a lot of discounts."

"Well, he did help you a lot yesterday." Ren Di smiled. "Driving off the Pei family and guests when they wanted to make trouble. He agreed to marry you when everyone thought that your idea was too crazy. You have to admit that no ordinary friends would be willing to do this much."
"Don't overthink. Lin Xiao Feng… Well, he had his reason to volunteer. In the end, we are using each other to get what we want from this wedding."
