The next day, Zephyr was sitting in his classroom, staring into space. The lesson was about ancient history, but he wasn't focused. His mind was preoccupied with the explosion that happened the night before. Every time he tried to think about it, a strange feeling washed over him, as if he knew something without realizing it.
"Zephyr?" A voice came from beside him.
He lifted his head to find Leo standing next to him with a wry smile. "You look like you've seen a ghost."
"Just a lot of thoughts." Zephyr replied coldly.
"Oh, thoughts… I know how you feel. But remember, the world waits for no one. Either you're strong or you're crushed." Leo said in a serious voice.
Zephyr smiled slightly, "And who said I wanted to be strong?"
Leo laughed. "You don't get it yet. Everyone wants power, even if they don't admit it. That's the natural order of the world."
Before Zephyr could respond, Reynard entered the classroom. Everything about him exuded power and control. When he walked in, the room felt like it had suddenly turned dark and cold. Everyone was afraid of him, except for Zephyr who was watching him quietly.
Renard glanced at Zephyr as if his eyes were piercing his soul. "Do you think you can hide?" He whispered in a low voice, before heading to his place in the class.
Zephyr felt a shiver run through his body, but he controlled himself. He knew at that moment that his life would never be the same.
