Xin Yi's jaw dropped, but she quickly closed it, noticing the other bodyguards were not shocked by what had happened.
"That's my man," Yi Han said calmly, barely moving her lips as she looked at Li Qiang.
"10,000,000,000.00 GOING ONCE, GOING TWICE, AND THE DIAMOND IS SOLD TO MR. GOUUUU!!" The MC screamed, and the audience was disappointed.
Gou Li Qiang stood up with pride, and Xin Yi followed him as they walked towards the restroom. Xin Yi stopped when he entered the male restroom, and Li Qiang turned to her.
"Why aren't you entering?" he asked.
"Ah! I am not using the restroom, and it would be inappropriate to enter with you," she smiled. He just nodded and left her outside.
Li Qiang entered the restroom as if he knew what would happen. He stood in the middle with his hands in his pockets.
Two men came out of different restroom doors and attacked Li Qiang. He defended himself by moving back when a blow came at him, grabbing the attacker's arm and kicking him in the stomach. The other man pulled Li Qiang from behind, forcing him to release the first attacker, who hit his head on the sink but wasn't hurt.
Xin Yi heard the noise inside and rushed in, gritting her teeth at the scene. She grabbed the second man's back and punched him repeatedly. Li Qiang also grabbed the first man and punched him repeatedly. Xin Yi hit the man's stomach.
"Emergency in the restroom!" Xin Yi said through the walkie-talkie. Two minutes later, the other bodyguards arrived, handcuffed the attackers, and pushed them out of the room.
They reached the mansion, and Muyang approached Li Qiang, asking what to do with the men.
"Take them to the torture room," Li Qiang said, foaming with anger.
"Yes, sir," Muyang answered. Xin Yi wanted to follow him.
"Come with me," Li Qiang said, and Xin Yi followed him.
They walked to the torture room, which was a dungeon. As they walked in, it became darker, but when Li Qiang clapped, the lights turned on. Xin Yi held her nose against the disgusting smell of corpses and blood. She saw a dead body that had turned grey and screamed, but Li Qiang didn't even look back.
"You are so wicked," she said to him, but he didn't reply and kept walking.
When they reached their destination, they entered a room with no door. 'Torture Room' was written on top of the old building. Inside, the men were wearing just boxers, their hands and legs tied. Muyang stood in front of them, with two dungeon guards standing by.
"Who sent you?" Li Qiang asked, but they didn't reply.
"WHO SENT YOU?" he asked again, gritting his teeth. Still no answer. "GET ME THE GUN," he shouted, and Xin Yi shivered.
The gun was handed to him, and he shot both men in the leg. They screamed in pain, but Li Qiang didn't flinch. The first man's face contorted with pain, while the second one whimpered, tears streaming down his cheeks. Xin Yi felt hurt and pitied them.
"WHO SENT YOU?" he asked again. The second man shouted and screamed.
"I WILL TALK! MR. YUXUAN SENT US!" he confessed. The other man bit his lips in regret. "PLEASE LET US GO!" he begged, but Li Qiang had no intention of sparing them. He shot both of them dead, and Xin Yi's mouth fell open. Didn't they beg him?
"Mr. Yuxuan is a coward, just like his guards. Just a small torture, and they spill the beans," Li Qiang insulted. "Don't forget to deliver them to him. Xin Yi!" Xin Yi followed him while the others nodded and said, "Yes, sir," in unison.
Xin Yi and Li Qiang emerged from the dungeon at the back of the mansion.
"Mr. Gou, those men told you the truth, yet you still killed them," she confronted him.
Li Qiang stepped closer, forcing her back against the wall. "You think I should let them go so they can come after me again? Do you know how many people out there want me dead? Sympathy is a luxury I can't afford."
he retorted and walked away, leaving Xin Yi.
Xin Yi watched his back as he walked away, feeling a mix of anger and frustration.
Back in her room, Xin Yi was still upset about what Li Qiang did. "Master, how was your first work?" Muchen, who was already in her room waiting for her, asked. His smile slowly faded when he saw Xin Yi's upset face.
"What happened, master? Who made you upset? Muyang, right?" The look on his face suggested he could kill Muyang, but the truth was he couldn't; he was just full of talk.
"That fucking Li Qiang," she cursed, pointing her finger at Muchen as if he were Li Qiang. Muchen raised his hands and stepped back, shocked by Xin Yi's outburst.
Haoyu came out of the bathroom wearing only his boxers. He put his hands on his waist and walked closer to them. "Xin Yi, don't you know you can't be insulting—"
"Shut up," she snapped, gritting her teeth and glaring at him.
"Oh, I'm sorry," he apologized and walked back to the bathroom.
Xin Yi lowered her hands, and Muchen walked closer to her. "What happened?"
"Li Qiang is wicked. He's a murderer," she said.
"You knew about it before you started working here, didn't you?" he asked.
"I know," she answered.
"Then why did you become his bodyguard? There must be a reason. Please answer," he begged.
Xin Yi looked at him and went to sit on the bed. Muchen followed and sat beside her. "I just wanted to expose him. I want him to be arrested," she whispered in his ear, not wanting Haoyu to hear anything, even though she lied to him.
"What! But it's dangerous. You're a mole," he whispered, surprised by what he just heard.
"I don't care. I hate all this. Honestly, I want to put an end to it," she said, breathing in and out heavily.
"What are you putting an end to?" Haoyu asked, looking at both of them.
"Ah, nothing," Muchen chuckled. "We were just talking about some things." He pinched Xin Yi, and she smiled at Haoyu.
"You guys are acting suspicious," Haoyu said, looking at them before walking to the wardrobe.
The car door was opened for Xu Yi Han. She stepped out and waved at her fans, who were waiting for her, along with reporters ready with their cameras. They all cheered when they saw her.
Xu Yi Han stood elegantly, waving at her fans. She wore a red velvet long gown, parted in the front to reveal her white long legs. The dress made her white skin stand out, and the diamond necklace she bought added to her allure.
She smiled with her beautiful, plump, heart-shaped lips painted red as she walked on the red carpet. Her fans waved at her, and she charmed them with her sweet smile.
Xu Yi Han went to sit in the first row, which was appointed to her. Many actors were already seated, and she bowed as she passed them. They bowed back. She sat down and pushed her hair away. Many actresses looked at her necklace with jealousy, envious of how she always got good products.
The event started at noon. The MC walked forward. "HI EVERYONE, GREETINGS TO ALL OUR ACTORS. WELCOME TO THE 2024 GOLDEN ROOSTER AWARDS SHOW."
