Chapter 80 - BEACH DINNER

-Haruka POV-

"So, you don't have to worry. You don't have to rush yourself. When you finally open your heart for me, you can say those words. I'll wait for you." He said that while caressing my face. His eyes look sincere, and it looks like the tears could fall anytime soon, but they don't. This guy is too kind for me, and I didn't even treat him that well in the first place. What did I even do to deserve a guy like him? Wait, did I even deserve him in the first place?

"You look like you're going to cry again at this rate. Don't cry. The fact that I love you won't change, so don't feel insecure. Ah, you haven't eaten anything yet, right? Should we go have dinner somewhere?" Levi asked me with a gentle voice and, not to forget, with that smile of his. He's changing the topic.

"Is it really okay for you to leave now?" I asked him while looking at him. Right, the event didn't even finish yet.

"No worries. I did greet everyone I needed to. After all, I'm not the one in charge of the project. I'm glad that Lucas agreed to take over the project. Now, I have more time to spend with you." He said that with a smile and grabbed my hand tightly.

"So, shall we?" He asked me again, with his hand still holding mine. I didn't reply to him, but I just gave him a nod, and we left the pavilion after that.

Five minutes later, we arrived in front of the room that I'm staying in.

"Levi, this is my room." I said that to him while maintaining eye contact with him.

"Right. This is your room. We're going to have dinner." He replied with a smile.

"Huh? But you said we're going to have dinner at the beach." I said that with a confused face.

"Haruka, did you forget that you're staying at the room connected to the beach? I have prepared everything." He said that and then opened the door of my room. He then dragged me to the veranda and walked along the bridge until we reached the beach. And there was a table for two people.

"Have a seat, princess." Levi said that while pulling the chair backward for me to sit. When did he even get there?

"I'm not a princess, and I'm a man." I said that, but still sitting on the chair he pulled for me.

"Should I call you angel, then?" He said that while pushing the chair back inside and then took a seat in front of me.

"Just call me by my name." I glared at him.

"Then, can I also call you Haru-chan?" He asked me with his sparkling eyes. What is he? A dog?

"Suit yourself." I replied, turning my head away to look at the ocean instead of looking at him.

"Really? Then, Haru-chan, what would you like for desserts later?" While grinning, he asked me. Why does he sound adorable when he calls me like that? I could feel my face turning red right now.

"I don't mind. Anything is fine. But shouldn't we eat the main course first before you ask me what for dessert?" I asked him, still not looking at him.

"The staff are preparing the food right now, that's why I ask. I'm going to tell them later when they bring the food." He replied.

"Well, anything is fine." I said that again.

"Cool. The food is here, Haru-chan. Please bring all the dessert I told you guys earlier." Levi said to the staff who brought our food here just now. Then all the staff just bowed and left.

"Are these the dishes served for the guests during the grand opening event?" When the staff left us alone again, I asked him.

"Haru-chan, you're hurting my pride. Of course not. I asked them to prepare all of these, especially for you and only you." Levi said that with a sad voice, as if he's really going to cry.

"I'm just asking. You're overreacting." I said that to him with a glare.

"Of course I am. These dishes prepared for you are more valuable than the dishes that those guests have. I had them make grilled bluefin tuna from the most fresh bluefin tuna we got here. Bluefin tuna is the most expensive fish in the world. Next, the Kobe beef steak, the most expensive meat in the world. Since you like duck more than chicken, I asked them to make Foie Gras Terrine for you and lastly white truffle soup, also made from the most expensive one. It cost me a lot of money and time to make these for you." He said that proudly.

"So? Did I ask you to spend your money for me? Do you even think I can finish all these by myself? And, didn't you spend all your time today just working? You didn't even text me until the grand opening event started. You're not even the one who's in charge of the project anymore." I mumbled, loud enough for him to hear that. But why did I say the last sentence? It's as if I'm upset about that. Ugh, this stupid mouth of mine.

"Haru-chan, don't tell me that you're upset because I didn't text you the whole day." Levi asked me with a playful smirk.

"Who said I was upset? I'm just asking." I half-yelled, trying to deny it. My face is burning right now, and I couldn't face him properly.

"Haha. I'm just kidding. Well, I was busy preparing all these dishes for you." He replied with a straight face.

"Huh?" I looked at him with a 'huh' face. I'm not blushing anymore.

"Hahaha. I figured you wouldn't believe me. Well, I didn't prepare all these except for the white truffle soup and all the desserts you'll be having later." He said that with a grin.

"Are you being serious right now, Levi Ackerman?" I asked him again because I found it hard for me to believe that.

"Of course I am. Don't worry, you'll see that later. Let's just eat for now, shall we? The food is getting cold." He said that while grabbing the fork and knife, and so do I am. We began to eat without talking.

15 minutes later, I noticed that the surroundings were getting darker and the sea was turning an orange colour. I just realised it's sunset right now.

"It's beautiful." I mumbled.

"Pretty, right? This is the reason why I chose to have dinner here. Having dinner during the golden hour. Don't you think this kind of romantic?" Levi said, but my eyes still focus on the ocean, mesmerising the view.

"I guess you're right." I replied, and I didn't even realise I said that out loud.

"Wow, I didn't expect you to agree with that." He said it with a playful tone. I looked at him, and he's clearly looking at me with a playful smile.

"I mean, that's not what I mean. What I'm trying to say is... the view is really beautiful, so that's why." I said that awkwardly. I can't believe I'm stuttering in front of him right now.

"Haru-chan, you've been making me laugh a lot today. Okay, I get it. So, would you like to go to take a walk for a while?" He said that with a chuckle. He's really enjoying this side of me right now.

"I don't want to. Let's just eat with the view." I replied while glaring at him, and then looked away, focusing on my food again.

"Alright, then. Wait a minute." He said that and then clapped his hand as if he's giving a signal. A few moments later, all the lights were turned on. The lights are dim, but they do make the surroundings a lot brighter.

"There we go. It's more romantic this way. Please continue eating, Haru-chan. We'll be having the desserts later." He said that while smiling brightly. Doesn't he feel tired smiling all the time?

I didn't say anything and just continued eating the food, and he did so also. Well, maybe because I didn't say anything, so he just kept silent also. 20 minutes later, the staff came again, bringing in the desserts. They cleaned the table first and put all the desserts later. Macarons, purin (Japanese-style caramel custard pudding), pavlova, matcha parfait, and mochi. This is all my favourite. I looked at Levi, and he simply gave me his bright smile.

"I believe that you know these are all my favourites. Did you ask Hanabi about this?" I asked him.

"As expected from a genius like you. Yeah, you're right. I did ask Hanabi." He replied to me still with a grin.

"I told you that you could just ask me." I said that to him while taking the matcha parfait and then feeding it into my mouth.

"It wouldn't be a surprise if I asked you. So, how is it? Is it good?" He asked me with an excited face.

"Ahem. Well, I guess it's not bad. Did you really make all these by yourself?" I asked him again while trying the purin next.

"Of course I did. Why would I lie to you? Did you ask that because that's way too delicious? Eat all you want. I made a lot just for you." He said that while giggling. Right now, am I having dinner with a child? I can't believe he's actually older than me when he's acting like this.

"I said it's not that bad. Well, thank you for your effort." I said that and then tried the next dessert, macaron, and then the pavlova, and lastly the mochi. They are all good, to the point where I didn't want to believe that he's the one who made them.

"I guess you've been eating a lot of the 'it's not bad' desserts." Levi suddenly spoke and made me realise that I had already finished pretty much everything on the table. Haruka, now you're doomed.

"Ahem. Well, they are delicious actually, not 'it's not bad'." I said that, looking away from him.

"Hahaha. I guess I can open my own dessert cafe after this. Please eat a lot, Haru-chan." He said that happily.

"Why aren't you eating?" With a glare, I asked him.

"Don't worry. Just watching you eat is enough for me." He replied with a sweet smile. Ugh.

"Suit yourself then." I said that and just continued eating, ignoring his presence.

//SKIP//

We're done having dinner and now walking along the beach together. Seriously, just like a couple, and why did I even agree to walk together?

"Ahem. Are you planning to continue walking here with me? Is the grand opening event already over? Do you seriously not need to go back to the main hall again?" I asked him many questions at once.

"Haru-chan, do you not want me to be here with me that bad?" He said that with a sad voice.

"That's not what I meant. You're the CEO, is it really okay for you to be here this whole time?" I said that with an awkward voice. I didn't mean it that way, I'm just asking.

"Haha. I know that. Well, the event is not over yet. There's one more main event to be performed, and I wanted you to see that too." He said that while looking at the sky.

"What is it?" I asked him.

"It's about to start now. 3, 2, 1 and…"

POP! POP!

The fireworks crackled in the sky, and I was amazed by that.

"Please watch until the end. There's a message for you." Levi said that while smiling and kept looking at the sky. What does it mean by a message? I kept looking at the sky, and then I noticed something. This guy, he seriously did that?
