-Levi Ackerman Mansion-
-Haruka POV-
This is my first time being here, at the Levi Ackerman Estate. This is also the first time I've seen Levi's house, and it's more in the western style. Of course, he's been in the United States for more than a decade. Levi gave me complete access to his home, including the passcode and house key.
I entered the house quietly. There is no sign of people in the living room. Even the living room design is western. He even got the piano in his living room.
Well, it's Levi Ackerman, of course, his taste should be high, but it's different from mine. But now, where is he? Is he not here?
I keep roaming in his house. I climb up to the second floor. I opened every door that was available. Library, office. When I'm walking around the house, I notice that most of the wall spaces have a frame of art there. Is he into the arts?
I walk towards the next door and open it slowly. It reeks of alcohol in there. Don't tell me Levi Ackerman is here. I entered the room quietly. The room is dark, only the sun shines through the slightly opened window.
I keep looking around, and there he is. Levi Ackerman was lying on the mattress while holding a bottle of whiskey. I walk slowly towards him. He's asleep. What should I do? The meeting is in an hour and a half. I need to wake him up.
"Levi Ackerman, wake up." I slapped his cheek gently, trying to wake him up, but there was no response. Should I try one more time?
"Levi Ackerman, please wake up..."
"Mr. Auclair, I'm sorry for hurting you. I didn't mean to hurt you. Yeah, I don't even deserve your love, but I will not give up. I'll make you happy, even if it takes the rest of my life. I really love you, I…." Levi utters those words softly.
"Levi Ackerman, are you up?" I look at him. No, he's talking in his sleep, and what makes me more shocked are the tears that fall onto his cheeks. Is he crying in his sleep? Because of me? Did you really love me? I don't know why, but I wanted to touch his cheeks and wipe his tears.
I raised my hand and slowly put it on his cheek. It's soft. Despite his cold looks, his cheeks are like a baby's. Slowly, I tried to wipe his tears.
"Ugh." This time, Levi looks like he's going to wake up anytime soon. I quickly stand up from my sitting position.
And I'm right. Levi Ackerman is awake now. Sober or not, I'm not sure yet. He rose up from the floor and leaned his back against the bed. He's looking at me right now.
"Who are you?" He asks, not fully awake yet. He rubbed his eyes slowly until he could see everything clearly.
"Mr. Auclair, what are you doing here?" He was clearly shocked by my presence here.
"Director, you have a meeting at 11 a.m., and everyone at the office is panicking when you don't even show yourself at 9 a.m., so here I am since I'm the only one who has the key to your house." I explained to him everything from the start, just to make sure he did not misunderstand anything.
"Fuck. Mr. Auclair, please postpone the meeting to this evening at 2. Just give any excuse that looks reasonable." He said it in his usual flat tone.
"Will do, sir." The same goes for me, I just answered like I used to.
"You may leave now. I'll be there by 12 p.m.Thank you." Without even looking at me, he brought himself into the bathroom.
Was he still angry about yesterday? To be honest, I'm a bit upset that he just left like that. What is wrong with me right now? Without thinking more about that, I unconsciously brought myself to the kitchen.
-45 minutes later-
I heard footsteps from the stairs. Levi is coming down now. Why now, when I'm just about to leave? He makes his way to the kitchen and is shocked to see me here.
"Mr. Auclair, why are you still here?" Still with a shocked face, he asked. His eyes are not even looking at me, like he's avoiding eye contact with me.
"Emm… The thing is, I thought you might need hangover soup, so I made some. I'm done here, so I'll get going first. I already postponed the meeting to 2 p.m. Today. I'll see you at the company, sir." With that, I left.
-Levi POV-
"Mr. Auclair, why are you still here?" I was shocked because Mr. Auclair still hadn't left yet. I don't know what to say, and the question just escaped my mouth without even thinking. I don't know why, but I've felt myself avoiding eye contact with him since earlier.
"Emm… Director I'm sorry for breaking into your kitchen without your permission. The thing is, I thought you might need some hangover soup, so I made some. I'm done here, so I'll get going first. I already postponed the meeting to 2 p.m. Today. I'll see you at the company, sir." With that, Mr. Auclair left, leaving the soup on the kitchen tabletop.
I sat down and looked at the soup. He made this for me, and yet I didn't say anything to him. I didn't even apologise to him for yesterday. But why did he suddenly be so nice to me to the point of making me hangover soup? Did I say something when I was asleep and drunk?
Without wasting time, I bring the soup closer to me and try it. It's good. This is the first time I have eaten something that Mr. Auclair cooks. He's even good at cooking and everything else. Does I deserve to be loved by someone as perfect as him? But then, he didn't deserve to get hurt when he was used. I'm not abandoning Mr. Auclair, I just need some time to think.

-Ackerman Group Company-
I arrived at the company at 11:50 a.m. Luckily, father is on his outstation, or else he'll get angry at me, and Louis will probably laugh at me. No, he surely will. Like always, everyone just bowed their heads and greeted me. I bring myself towards the elevator to go to my office.
TING!
The lift stops at my office floor, and I was shocked to see Mr. Auclair standing outside.
"Director, you've arrived." He said it awkwardly.
"Yeah." That's all I replied. I look around, still standing inside the lift. Is Louis not here today?
"Emm, Director, are you going out or do you have somewhere to go? I'm about to go get lunch. Did you have lunch already?" He asked, looking at me uncomfortably.
I look at my watch. It's 12:05pm. Already. No wonder he's going to get his lunch.
"No, I'm not hungry. Btw, where's Louis?" I step out of the elevator, and then he makes his way in.
"He said he's going to have lunch with his friend today. He just left. I'll get going, sir." With that, the lift door closed. I made my way towards my office.
Having lunch with his friend? I bet he's just having lunch with some random women he met at the club. That stupid brat, sooner or later you'll know whether the sky is high or low.
But what's with Mr. Auclair today? He spoke to me nicely, like nothing had happened yesterday. Did I really say something in my sleep when he was there this morning? Ugh, I can't remember anything.
Levi, what is wrong with you? You should apologise to him, but all you've been doing is avoiding him the entire time. Can I just send him a text? I'm not ready yet. What are you thinking? Levi, you'll look like a coward if you just send him a text. I'll confront him after work today.
