The sunlight peeked through the slightly drawn curtains in Natsumi's room, casting a soft glow on her small, peaceful form curled under a blanket decorated with cartoon dragons. She looked so serene that I almost felt bad disturbing her. But as her big brother, it was my duty to ensure she didn't miss out on the amazing breakfast Ai had prepared.
I sat gently on the edge of her bed, brushing a strand of her dark hair from her face. "Natsumi-Chan," I called softly.
A groan escaped her lips as she turned away, burying herself deeper into her blanket fortress.
I chuckled, leaning closer. "Natsumi, wake up. Your favorite pancakes are waiting for you."
She let out a muffled protest. "Don't wanna… school's boring… let me sleep."
My lips curved into a sly grin. "Well, guess what? You don't have to go to school today."
Her head peeked out from the blanket, her sleepy eyes narrowing suspiciously. "Really?"
