I was not in a very pleasant mood mainly because of my defeat but now a soldier was scattering around me trying to kill me. It was an annoying situation similar buzzing mosquitoes that you cannot see but still deprive you of rest. Between six to eight soldiers joined in the attack to try and subdue me. I was not interested in counting them. My mind was far away thinking about the next rematch. Gravity! Gravity! Gravity! I believe I know more about the subject than FC but what can I do? I should try training, but where and how? I only knew how to negate the influence of gravity on my body during flight and nothing more. A smile formed on my face as I thought about all the limitless potential gravity magic had. With my background in physics, I was determined to not lose the second encounter. Kching! Kching! Kching! Continuous metallic sounds were heard. Are they not going to give up? I looked around and so the master and Orton who were still kneeling but engrossed in the fight happening before them. "You, why are you not fighting back?" a figure I assume was the king asked. So I was right, they wanted to test my strength. I did not answer immediately. My response was unleashing a small portion of my blood lust inside the room. The soldiers began suffocating and passing out, the others present were also affected mildly due to my decision to hold back. "If I did decide to fight back, this city would be destroyed and that is not my wish. I need this temple." I answered. The various people including the king were shocked and were not in a position to speak. I was not interested in this politics and was eager to train myself using gravity magic and so I broke the silence. "I have no interest in remaining here. If you have nothing more to say I shall take my leave." I declared. "This people have told me that you are a dragon but unlike the ones that we have tamed you possess intelligence. How is that?" the prince interrupted. This person was either brave or stupid because he could not read the room at all. The dragons they are talking about are probably wyverns. An inferior dragon species to the elemental dragons. I did not understand how they managed to acquire such beasts yet their mana reserves were so low. How could they tame them? Well no matter, that has nothing to do with me. "The dragon species you have tamed is different from the one I belong to. My family has intelligence and has the ability to change to a human form." I declared. I say my family because I am undoubtedly the fore father of all the modern dragon species having used life Manipulation magic to alter their species. "I am afraid that we do not believe your claim." The prince said. "That has nothing to do with me." I retorted. "Oh but it does. You see this two brought a foreigner in the country and trained them you see." The prince said as he placed his blade on Orton's neck. "I would say that is treason. Don't you agree?" the prince asked me. "Pathetic!" I said. I moved at top speed and was now next to the prince. "You are all weak. You could march your entire army here and I would still not suffer a scratch." I said. The prince took a few steps back and began yelling to the remaining guards. "Kill the three of them. Kill them all!" the prince shouted. I looked around and saw that the king did not belay that order but instead nodded his head while pointing at me. This is troublesome, I do not intend on destroying the temple nor do I intend on killing these soldiers. What do I do now? "You were always too hasty." A lady's voice was heard. "Mother? Are you back?" the prince asked. So she is the queen? "Stand back everyone." The queen ordered. It was strange to see the subtle mannerisms in the soldiers' behavior. It almost seemed like the queen was the true ruler and not the king. This was confirmed the eventual shift in seating position where the queen sat at the center stage with the King and prince at both her sides. I stood next to the master and Orton. I did not really like them but for people who had welcomed me to their home and fed me, ensuring their safety was the least I could do. The room was now orderly and the royal family were seated once more. "I managed to eaves drop on your conversation before I got inside the room. You were saying that you were a different type of dragon is that correct?" the queen asked. "Yes, one with intelligence and an ability to change into human form." I said while changing part of my arm to a dragon claw. The room was in an uproar. "The devil" "Heretic" "Stay behind me your majesty." The room was very noisy. The queen motioned the room to keep quiet and so they did. "Are there truly other species of dragons?" the queen asked enthusiastically. The master had told me earlier that the queen was a major animal lover just like his late father the previous king. She was the first person to develop a relationship with the wyverns who were obtained as a gift from another continent. It was said that the king was gifted three eggs and managed to raise the wyverns with his daughter. I don't know which method they used because the wyverns I am aware of are very rash and violent. "It is a pity we lost Sophie, but if there are more dragons we can tame them and unify the continent." The queen declared. The king and the prince nodded. Who was Sophie? Is it the wyvern that Zari destroyed? "Did you send it to the neighboring Kingdom?" I asked. "How do you know that?" the prince interrupted. I am getting tired of this brat always interrupting. The queen did not and looked interested in my reply. "I was there. I saw it fall." I said. "You were there? What do you mean you were there?" the King asked. "You saw Sophie fall? Did you see what attacked her?" the queen asked in a panicked form. "Sophie attacked one of my family members. She then retaliated and launched an attack against Sophie." I said. The conversation has drifted so far away from the main objective. Is there even a main objective? "That is just like Sophie, she was always too aggressive. That is why I gave her to the military to calm down. What a shame." The queen said in a sad manner. "You still haven't answered my question boy. What were you doing there?" the King asked. Boy? Is he calling me boy? "hahaha" I laughed like a maniac and then suddenly stopped. "A lowly human such as you calling me a boy?" I said as I looked directly at him. I really could not care about kings, queen and whomever else. In this world only strength mattered. The soldiers once again tried to intervene but were ordered back by the queen. "Stand aside all of you." The queen ordered. "Why then have you come here sir…" the queen asked. "My name is Chrono. I came here to deal with the spiders." I said. A loud gasp was heard in the audience. "How do you know about the spiders? That is high level secret. "The queen asked. High level secret? They are all over the kingdom, how do you keep something like that a secret. "Well no matter, if you can help us deal with them then rest assured nobody here will disturb you." The queen concluded. I think we are talking about different things here because it is not possible to deal with these creatures in the near future. Whatever they believe they will offer me will likely be worthless during the apocalypse that draws near. "Yes that would be wise mother. The knights are getting overwhelmed day by day." The prince said. "Sir Chrono. Would you mind following us?" the queen asked. The King made a dismissive sound as he looked at me. What the hell is wrong with these people? "I have no objections." I said. I was led to some underground room beneath the temple where a most peculiar sight was observed. They had managed to capture a low level spider. From the size of the mandible, it was likely the same species that could snap a human leg with its jaws. "Your majesty." A guard greeted us upon entering. Where had I seen this face before? I had no idea of knowing this but it was Commander Franz, the commander in charge of the archery units who had caused the Orthon army such troubles during the war. "What is new Commander Franz?" the prince asked. "The skin is too tough, I am afraid none of our weapons can pierce it. We have not tried fire because we are afraid burning those ropes could let it free if it does not die." Commander Franz stated. Why were this guys launching a war if the situation was so dire? "I am afraid your majesty we require the mines in Orthon to make explosives and seal them shut." Commander Franz said. Seal them? Who? And seal them where? I was a few distance behind them trying to grasp their situation. It had not occurred to me that normal human weapons could not pierce the exoskeleton of this spiders. This was a major miscalculation. "Sir Chrono, would you mind coming closer." The queen asked. "Right away." I answered. Commander Franz gave me a curious look. "These spiders have infiltrated the city and are now in the drainage pipes underneath. My dragons are too large to fit in the pipes but you can. Do you think you can help us?" The queen asked. "Do you want this spider killed?" I asked the queen. She nodded her head. I launched a limited fire attack that burnt the spider to ash immediately. "It was you was it? You are the one who captured the soldiers." Commander Franz asked. With those words my memory clicked. I remembered some officer with flashy armor giving orders about two days ago. So this was him.
