Chapter 6 - The Story of The Srinjani Kingdom (1)

Rico realized what Alya had meant, according to what the grandfather in the white robe said.

There is another life in Mount Srinjani, there is a kingdom that stands in another dimension of this mountain.

The kingdom that was established thousands of years ago, is even believed to have existed since before Christ.

The kingdom was the kingdom of Kandis Srinjani, therefore this mountain is called Srinjani Mountain until now.

In the kingdom of Kandis Srinjani, there are two important figures, namely Queen Amarpati and King Tarumanagara.

They are descendants of King Atmanagara. Father of King Tarumanagara, Srimanikmarpati and Queen Amarpati.

When the father was died, power fell to his first son, King Tarumanagara, according to the will and mandate that had been entrusted by the previous father.

Finally, the Kandis Srinjani Kingdom was led by King Tarumanagara.

During his leadership, he brought many changes in the government both economically in meeting the needs of the community and the progress of the government regarding weapons of war as well as strategies for territorial disputes.

"Ki Jaka, I leave this will to you, please tell them when I am die, I think my age will not be long, my illness has not yet healed"

King Atmanagara said to his aide, he had been experiencing tightness in his chest since a month before his died.

"Yes King, I will keep this mandate until the time has come" answered Ki Jaka.

Ki Jaka was the trusted aide of King Atmanagara, who finally, after he was gone, Ki Jaka became the aide of King Tarumanagara.

Ki Jaka is famous for his long white hair and wearing a white robe.

The life of the kingdom progressed rapidly when led by King Tarumanagara, he planned the war strategy very well, the region around Srinjani was successfully captured by him with his army.

King Tarumanagara was a king known for his wisdom, greatness, and wisdom. Therefore, his figure is so respected and looked upon.

Unlike his first child, his third child, Queen Amarpati, was known to be very cruel, even cruel to her siblings.

The queen, who could not accept the kingdom being led by her first brother, planned to destroy it because she wanted to control Srinjani.

"Ayu, quickly bring this drink to King Tarumanagara. I made it especially for my beloved brother" Queen Amarpati gave her herbal concoction to Ayu, a maid in the Srinjani kingdom.

"Yes, Queen," Ayu took it to be delivered to the King.

When Ayu was about to enter the King's room, Ki Jaka stopped her and asked.

"Whose drink is that, it doesn't seem like the one you usually make" said Ki Jaka as he took the herbal drink from her.

"This is a herbal drink, Sir. Queen Amarpati made it for the King, so that the King's stamina is always strong" said Ayu as she sat in front of the King.

Then Ki Jaka inhaled the aroma and threw away the herbal drink.

"Tell Queen Amarpati that the drink has been drunk by the King" said Ki Jaka to Ayu.

Ayu left the King's room and delivered Ki Jaka's message to Queen Amarpati.

Time passed, after two days after Queen Amarpati gave poison in the King's drink without knowing that the King did not drink it.

The Queen became suspicious because the King looked healthy and fine without any reaction after drinking the herbal medicine.

Queen Amarpati was furious and planned to kill King Tarumanagara immediately at her hands.

"The kingdom cannot be left like this, he must die as soon as possible,"

Said Queen Amarpati with a very emotional feeling.

Seeing the life of the kingdom increasingly advanced and the surrounding residents increasingly prosperous made Queen Amarpati unable to stand her brother's leadership skills.

She really wanted to seize her brother's throne and lead the Srinjani Kingdom according to her strategy, wanting to make Srinjani's life uneasy and all the people must obey her.

One quiet, silent night, and everyone was sleeping.

Queen Amarpati crept into her brother's room through her window, without thinking clearly and long.

Queen Amarpati stabbed a knife into her brother's stomach. Then she ran and isolated herself in the forest for weeks after the incident.

The King died at the hands of his own sister, Queen Amarpati.

Making the entire community and kingdom mourn, over the departure of King Tarumanagara who died when his leadership was progressing

He died when he was 30 years old and his leadership period had only been 5 years after his father's departure.

"Ki Jaka, what if temporary power is given to Srimanikmarpati, because the kingdom cannot be without a leader,"

Said Darmawangsa, Queen Amarpati's aide.

Knowing that her brother had died, Srimanikmarpati fell unconscious and was helpless over the death of the King.

Srimanikmarpati was the second child of King Atmanagara who when she was born into the world already had an illness that did not heal until she was an adult, therefore the father could not give power to his second child.

So that power could only be given to Queen Amarpati, the third child of King Atmanagara.

After King Tarumanagara died, the whereabouts of the Queen who simply disappeared were never known.

"I must immediately look for Queen Amarpati because King Atmanagara does not allow Srimanikmarpati to lead the kingdo"

"Because of the illness she is suffering from, I am worried she will not be able to handle the kingdom well,"

Said Ki Jaka to all the aides and troops who lived in Srinjani.

After a month of searching for Queen Amarpati, finally found a bright spot.

The Queen was found near the top of the mountain sitting and performing a ritual that she believed in.

"That's Queen Amarpati there, let's approach her," said Darmawangsa to all the troops who were joining the search.

Darmawangsa actually knew about the plan to assassinate King Tarumanagara and the departure of the Queen.

Because he was the Queen's trusted aide. It was impossible for him not to know about his Queen's bad intentions.

"Excuse me Queen Amarpati, I am here to deliver bad news, King Tarumanagara has been killed by an enemy who broke into the room through the window,"

Said Ki Jaka to the Queen.

"It's impossible, my brother is a person who is very wary of enemies, how could he die at the hands of his own enemy"

"I didn't think this would happen to him,"

Said the Queen with a face that looked sad and scared.
