Ignoring the tension in the air, the nurse picked the papers and placed them neatly on the table in front of Dante, and due to respecting privacy, she didn't even bother to look at it.
"Good day Miss Amber, may I suggest you lay down a bit." Amber nods and did as the doctor told, her head still in the clouds.
She couldn't understand what is going on, and if not for the water the nurse had given her earlier, she probably would not have the strength to deal with it either.
After a while, the doctor nods his head, positively moving away from Amber.
"I guess there's no much of a situation here." He commented, and Amber smiled in response.
"Can she be discharged now?" Dante asked, his face resting on his fisted hands as he stared at them through his glasses like they were beneath him.
"Yes, but she will need a proper diet to recover the lost blood as well."
Amber bit her lips, unsure if being discharged presently is the right thing, Dante sounded like a crazed fellow just a minute ago.
Maybe because of his kindness towards her has she forgotten the rumors.
Everyone called Dante, the Rottweiler of the business world.
They called him that because anyone who dared to cross him one way or another, regardless of who they are, their companies always managed to crumble the next day.
That was part of the reason she was reluctant on going in as a spy in the first place, but after she got the job, she saw him as nothing but a sweet little golden retriever.
His clumsy mistakes, his funny jokes, his personality in general, well, except when it came down to business.
"Good, can you arrange her discharge for me?" Dante requested, getting up from his seat.
The doctor was about to speak when he caught the nurse giving him a signal from the corner of his eyes.
"May I ask who you are to request that sir?" The doctor inquired instead.
This patient wanted to kill herself, so that means there were things that Inputted that thought into her or someone forced her to do it.
"I'm her husband, and you should be glad I'm only requesting." Dante responded coldly, his hands in his pockets as he continued with his I'm above you all look.
Amber, the moment she heard Dante call himself her husband, felt a sudden chill in her spine upwards.
"Is he really your husband?" The nurse asked Amber, "You don't need to be scared of him, if he is not, we can call security to oust him out instantly, he won't be able to bother you anymore." She persuaded.
It was enough having such parents, the woman didn't need to suffer any further than that.
It was no wonder she tried to commit suicide, but it's no excuse either, there's always a way out.
Amber glanced at Dante with the corner of her eyes to see the smirk on his face.
Even if she is safe in the hospital, and he is ousted out, she owed this man too huge of a debt for him to let her go just like that.
The moment she's discharged, he will probably hunt for her to get his revenge.
Tightening her fists, Amber forced a smile, isn't this what she wanted? Revenge by his hands to suppress the guilt that was killing her inside.
"He is my husband." Amber affirmed, causing nurse to sigh.
She couldn't place her finger on what was wrong, but the tension in the air told her something isn't right.
Could it be that they had a couple fight? Maybe he was pissed at her for trying to take her life?
If so, then that was awfully cute, they are probably so deeply in love with each other, explains why she woke up the day her husband came to visit.
"I'll go process the discharge, sir, you need to come with me to sign some things." Dante nodded and followed the doctor out.
Amber sighed as she stared into space, not noticing when the nurse left as well.
Why the hell will her parents do that to her? Dante handed over the documents to the actors for them to sign, and since they don't have such authorities, they handed it to her parents.
Her parents are many things but not idiots, how could they not know signing this is basically selling her off, with all the nasty things said about Dante.
Looking at the signature once more, Amber could feel her heart-breaking all over again.
It was indeed her father's secondary signature.

Silence reigned in the car as Amber leaned on the door, staring outside the window at other cars zooming past.
Her head was still in a mess, what if her father did that without the knowledge that Dante knew? Maybe he just wanted her to be closer to Dante to source more information.
That will be the only explanation for what's happening now.
"You should wire my money back to me." Dante stated in a demanding voice while Amber mindlessly hummed.
Back at the hospital, she wanted to clear the bills herself, but doing that while her 'husband' is by her side seemed suspicious.
So Dante volunteered to pay, even without him asking, Amber had already decided to pay.
Dante, on the other hand, felt his eyes twitch at her nonchalant response, he had worked his butt off this past week to resolve the mess she created.
After a lot of thought, Dante came to the conclusion that if the Cortlandt Luster just got the design, it means the production process hasn't started yet, while it was near completion in Rivera Jewels.
At the end of it all, Dante added a change in the design that could be considered minor and major at the same time.
The difference with the old design was present and so were the similarities, if they were to release first, everyone would be fascinated and get it, so even if Cortlandt Luster bring theirs out, it will be like every other jewelry to the public eye.
The sales will be low, so they will eventually lose out.
The moment he was done with all that, Dante immediately searched high and low for Amber, he couldn't let her go Scot free, not after making his father end up in the hospital and worsening his situation.
"Sign it." He stated coldly, throwing the marriage contract on Amber's lap.
