In her left hand, Rebecca held the Supreme Sword of Four Souls, the Sword Phoenix of Four Souls. Feeling the immense power within it and the energy surging through her body, she felt full of confidence in her mission to defeat Doflamingo, find Sugar, and free the people of Dressrosa.
As Rebecca walked toward the palace, the ground beneath her feet began to ripple like water, and she started sinking into it.
Rebecca's expression shifted slightly, and she tried to pull herself free, but the more she struggled, the deeper she sank.
Nearby, a man with a pacifier in his mouth and dark sunglasses swam over with a smirk.
"So, you're the famous Rebecca. Your flames mean nothing here against my powers," said Señor Pink as he approached, expanding the reach of his powers. The ground turned to waves of mud, crashing over Rebecca repeatedly.
Señor Pink aimed to drown her in the mud, brimming with confidence. "Little girl, you don't understand. We were raised with Master Dover's resources. We've taken countless enhancement pills, and our strength is far beyond what you can imagine."
"You, who only recently gained a Devil Fruit—an artificial one, at that—dare to come to Dressrosa and challenge us? I suggest you leave, or I'll be forced to kill you."
The waves of mud rose higher, battering Rebecca with the force of a tidal wave.
But Rebecca stood her ground. She'd come this far, and there was no turning back now, especially not for someone like Señor Pink.
"Señor Pink, you're not bad yourself," Rebecca said, her gaze hardening. "If you turn back now, I'll spare your life. But if you insist on fighting, I'll have no choice but to end it for you."
"Arrogant little girl. Do you really think you can beat me?" Señor Pink sneered, sending another wave of mud crashing toward her, hoping to submerge her completely.
"Have it your way, then," Rebecca replied as flames erupted from her body.
With a powerful yell, a surge of intense flame exploded outward. The red flames evaporated the mud instantly, sending up steam in all directions. From the center of the flames, a golden crow rose into the sky, illuminating the area with brilliant heat and light.
The shockwave blew Señor Pink backward. Panicked, he activated his power to dive underground, barely escaping the blaze that would have consumed him.
When he reemerged from the ground a short distance away, he saw Rebecca standing amidst the flames, her figure like that of a queen of fire, radiating a terrifying aura.
In that moment, Señor Pink was taken aback by her power and, in his daze, felt an odd admiration.
Señor Pink approached her cautiously. "Rebecca… let me join you."
Rebecca froze, eyes narrowed suspiciously. "What are you saying?"
Señor Pink continued, "Your strength and beauty have captivated me. I'm willing to leave Doflamingo and join you."
Rebecca was taken aback. This turn of events was unexpected. She questioned him, "If you're serious, keep your distance. Otherwise, I'll show no mercy."
Señor Pink's eyes hardened. "If that's how it is, then I'll remain loyal to Master Dover. I won't let you anywhere near him."
With that, he summoned another wave of mud, sending it toward her. But this time, Rebecca was ready. In an instant, she disappeared from sight, reappearing directly behind Señor Pink.
"Where did she—" he began, but before he could finish, her sword had already pierced his heart.
Flames erupted from her sword, engulfing Señor Pink. He tried to turn his body to mud, but the Sword of Four Souls, imbued with the powerful Armament Haki of both Tenguyama Hitetsu and Shimotsuki Kozaburo, as well as the essence of the Fire Phoenix, blocked him from using his powers.
In seconds, Señor Pink was reduced to ashes. Rebecca sighed, "I didn't want to kill you, but you left me no choice."
She withdrew her sword and continued toward the palace. Flying wasn't an option yet—she hadn't fully mastered the Four Souls Phoenix's power in the air, and any vulnerability could make her a target. Walking was safer.
Suddenly—
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Shots were fired from a distance.
Rebecca moved swiftly, dodging each bullet with ease.
A woman wearing sunglasses and holding a cigarette stood nearby, smirking at her.
It was Baby 5, one of Doflamingo's cadres.
Baby 5 took a puff, exhaled smoke, and eyed Rebecca. "So, you're Rebecca?"
Rebecca nodded. "I'm only here to kill Doflamingo and his top four. Don't make me hurt you."
Baby 5 laughed, "Just because you took down Señor Pink, don't think I'm as easy to handle."
With that, Baby 5 transformed her arms into two large Vulcan cannons, each equipped with multiple barrels aimed at Rebecca. In the next moment, flames erupted from the barrels as a barrage of bullets tore toward her.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The sound of rapid gunfire filled the air as bullets rained down. But Rebecca's speed was incredible, leaving only afterimages on the ground as she closed in on Baby 5.
Baby 5 continued firing, her bullets shredding trees and houses in their path, causing massive destruction. Luckily, the area was deserted; otherwise, the toll would have been devastating.
In seconds, Baby 5 lost track of Rebecca's movements.
"So fast…" Baby 5 muttered, scanning her surroundings, but Rebecca was nowhere to be found.
"Time for you to take a nap," Rebecca whispered, appearing behind her and knocking her out with a swift blow from her sword's hilt.
Baby 5 collapsed to the ground, muttering as she slipped into unconsciousness, "I'm such a fool…"
Leaving Baby 5 behind, Rebecca continued on her path toward the palace. She pushed her Observation Haki to its limits, knowing that Doflamingo would continue sending his subordinates to intercept her. But the more resistance she met, the greater her confidence grew.
Each step forward confirmed what she suspected: Doflamingo was afraid. He wasn't willing to face her himself.
