Doflamingo was afraid, but Rebecca's confidence was unwavering.
She held absolute faith in her strength. A few months ago, she defeated Vergo in the Smile Factory. Since then, her power had grown tremendously. Most importantly, she now wielded the Four Souls Sword, Feng Nai.
The Four Souls Sword, Feng Nai, was a supreme blade forged by Hitoru Tenguyama and Shimotsuki Kozaburo. It amplified her strength over tenfold.
Rebecca was certain—no matter how formidable Doflamingo's String-String Fruit powers were, her sword could slice through them.
With resolve, Rebecca strode toward the palace. Suddenly, a figure flickered in her path.
Rebecca's keen Observation Haki sensed the intruder. She turned slightly to the left, evading the attack.
She faced a man with horns and tightened her grip on her sword, eyeing him warily. He was fast.
The man smirked at her and said, "You're strong. Worthy of being my opponent."
Rebecca replied, "You're not my enemy. I don't want to spill more innocent blood. Step aside."
Drej laughed. "If you want to face our young master, you'll have to go through me first."
No sooner had Drej finished speaking than a powerful shockwave barreled toward Rebecca. She bent down, evading the sudden assault, and glanced sideways to see an older man appear beside Drej.
"I told you, Lao G," Drej said in irritation, "she's mine."
Lao G replied seriously, "This girl is stronger than she looks. Let's take her down together."
With that, Lao G struck a peculiar pose before launching himself at Rebecca, attacking with lightning speed. His fists became a flurry, engulfing her.
Rebecca dodged swiftly, avoiding all of Lao G's strikes. In the past, she wouldn't have evaded a single blow, but now, she could handle them with ease.
"This girl has remarkable Observation Haki... dodging all my attacks?!" Lao G shouted. "Drej, what are you waiting for?"
"Alright, alright," Drej sighed. "If you're struggling, old man, I'll help."
Drej charged at Rebecca, his horns aimed directly at her. Simultaneously, Lao G struck from behind.
Rebecca observed both attackers. Their movements were too fast for most to track, but her Observation Haki pinpointed them effortlessly.
In a split second, Drej and Lao G closed in on her, mere inches away.
Rebecca remained still, and the two men grinned, thinking she had nowhere to run.
Neither held back as they unleashed their full strength.
At that moment, Rebecca activated the Lightning Dragon Flash technique and vanished. The attacks of Lao G and Drej collided, producing a thunderous crash as they struck each other by mistake.
Lao G took three steps back, while Drej stumbled back dozens, clearly showing Lao G's superior strength.
Drej clutched his head and shouted, "Old man! Why did you hit me?"
Lao G flexed his hands, replying, "That girl's timing is impeccable. Even the two of us together can't match her."
"Don't get distracted. We can't let her escape," Drej said, preparing to chase her down, when a figure appeared in his path—a handsome man in a top hat, wielding a Western sword and holding a rose between his lips.
"Who are you? Why are you blocking me?" Drej asked, alarmed that he hadn't sensed the man's arrival.
It was Cavendish.
Both Cavendish and Bartolomeo had been drawn by the action, with Chiba offering a prize for whoever contributed most in Dressrosa. The reward was a famed sword, and Cavendish was eager to claim it. Annoyingly, Bartolomeo, who wasn't even a swordsman, was also competing.
Meanwhile, Bartolomeo himself stepped in front of Lao G. With his spiky green hair, nose ring, and sharp teeth, he smiled and taunted, "Hey, old man, mind if I join in?"
Lao G's face darkened. "You're Bartolomeo, the Barrier-Barrier Fruit user from the tournament."
Bartolomeo chuckled. "Didn't know I was so popular."
Lao G's expression turned serious, and he suddenly lunged at Bartolomeo. But Bartolomeo quickly formed a barrier around himself, bracing for impact.
Boom!
Lao G's powerful punch struck Bartolomeo's barrier with a heavy thud, but it didn't shatter.
Bartolomeo sneered, "You sneaky old geezer. Distracting me with talk and then attacking? Real smooth."
Lao G replied, "Impressive defense. Kids these days... but I don't have time for games." With that, he attempted to rush past Bartolomeo toward Rebecca.
"Not so fast!" Bartolomeo created another barrier, blocking Lao G. Instantly, Lao G altered his direction and attacked Bartolomeo directly, his punch connecting with Bartolomeo's chest.
Crash!
Bartolomeo was flung backward, and Lao G grinned, "You're too inexperienced, kid."
In the distance, Rebecca called out, "Bartolomeo, are you alright?"
