Chapter 7 - Wonky Bunker

Tedior proceeds onwards to drawing a blueprint in his mind for his very own would-be bunker. But first, he shall need to identify the materials he has available for him.

He moves along the border of the stone, looking around for materials and finding only the usual leaves and sticks, both of which, a size too large for him. He hums and hurrs for a while, pondering on what can he do before perking up with a great idea.

Grabbing onto a stray leaf, he begins to fold it. When the shaped stays as is, he knows what he can do.

Thus begins the meticulous process of folding, bending and tucking in some stray corners amongst the folds. Cutting them all to shape with his trusty and useful mandible. Shaping them into masterpiece according to the blueprint meticulously drawn in his mind.

10 minutes later, a semblance of couple of origami boxes are made.

55 minutes later a half constructed mansion is build, merged together from the folded junctions that are tucked securely to the cutted percise holes. It really is a simple thing to make, a lot simpler since he is smaller and could easily lifts the leaves.

He used to have ample amount of free time, in lieu of going into the educational system, he wasted his time on games, books and whatever free lessons he can get his hands on, in which providentially one of those lessons includes origami of all types.

Two hours or so passed and his hasty yet percisely built mansion has come to fruition. It is wonkily shaped but at the same time looks liveable. But he does not plan on living here indefinitely, for he wishes to be high above in trees under the safety of leaves covering. Maybe he can build his dream castle up there one day, the very best origami castle anyone has ever seen.

But for now, he is exhausted.

"I really should not have spent my time building this..." he says regretfully yet feeling proudly puffed up. Although he went a tiny bit overboard, no one can deny that this a livable mansion albeit a bit wonky. He has always wanted to stay in a ancient haunted castle since he was young, but a three story mansion will do for now.

All rooms are equipped with a closable opening which are connected to hallways with a makeshift leaf ladders. This particular building is made with the accommodation in mind of many, many food storage rooms, a bedroom, dining room, veranda, kitchen and an usable toilet, which spells to a box with a window that he can stick his butt out to do important businesses with. He would love to add a swimming pool and a spare bedroom but, they are really all just glorified square boxes being mixed and mashed together in varius shapes and sizes.

Nonetheless, he squeaks in delight of his achievements. Suddenly loosing his upside down perch does not seems so bad after all. He even have a colorful corpse as decoration! Almost like a warm homecoming made just for him.

He lethargically yet enthusiastically cuts the main door. And his mansion is officially finish making.

As he move into the origami mansion, he could not help and marvel how cosy and nice this feels.

He picks upper floor smallest room then blissfully hugs his precious insect remains and snugly curls into a donut.

As Tedior lets his mind wanders through the journey he has made today, he is soon embraced into the loving hands of sleep and restfullness.

He wakes a few hours later.

There is an unrequited itchiness within him. Well, quite literary, an itchy torture that he could not satisfy due to his tiny short and adorable limbs.

It is an exceedingly irritating sensation, sometimes it feels of pain yet it is not and sometimes it itches in a singular area yet it is not. If he was not already slightly insane, this will drive his sanity home.

He tries rolling about the floor but accomplishes nothing. He looks around for something to assist him in this endevour and finds nothing. With no other choices at hand, he yeets himself out of the window opening and starts rubbing himself on the rough surfaces of the rock. Much like how a bear scratches their itch on a tree.

He ends up scratching his skin off, almost giving him a huge fright before it clicks to him that he is shedding his skin.

"What is this called again? Oh, ecdysis! Didnt think they would be so itchy." He complains as he retreats back into his mansion for safety.

He slowly peels off the exoskeleton of his crochets first then moving towards his abdomen. Removing the rest like how he takes off a shirt. The relieve was instantaneous. He heaves a grateful sigh and drops off his exoskeleton nearby his stash of precious.

As he moves about, he notices the smoothness of motion that was not there before. Sitting back down, he examines his mangled limbs in details. To his astonishment, they are all healed to perfection.

He always known that a good night sleep will get rid of all ailments.

Since he already have his fill of a great slumber and his injuries seems to be healed, he shall start to venture back out into the curious darkness that seems to be calling him, enticing him with those sweet scent of something new. He will be back before daylight for more snoozes if needed. This mansion is not going anywhere.

Right before he ventures out, there was two loud thudding sound followed by a loud,

"Is anyone in?"
