Tias POV
THWACK my eyes snapped open at the sharp sound expecting to see my teacher looming over me with a ruler but no I saw fabric?
Sitting up I saw tons of blankets and pillows, what, as suddenly as I woke up the events of yesterday came rushing back.
"I'm in the middle of a forest being taken care of by someone younger than me"
I mumbled to myself. Shoving the blankets off me I stand and push my way out of the tent shivering as the now much colder air comes in contact with my skin looking around the clearing I see Mae Kailey and Sebastian sitting around a fire eating what looks like meat, THWACK I nearly jump out of my skin as I turn to see where the sound was coming from I turn to my right seeing the boy from last night standing on the far side of the clearing pulling a tree branch into the clearing before going back out THWACK the boy comes back again with another tree branch.
So it's him, I head over to the campfire now much less on edge since I know what the sound is. I plop down next to Mae, and she hands me what looks like a bowl of blue raspberries, and a large leaf that was acting as a plate for what I can only assume is some type of bird leg I shrugged and dug in surprised by the flavor it tasted like chicken and was juicy but it also tasted like it was perfectly seasoned despite it not seeming to have any seasoning.

We all talked as we ate; with the boy occasionally checking in and putting more sticks on the fire.
"Hey, how long do you think it will take to get to their base?"
I asked looking at Taylor who sat across from me. She shrugged her shoulders
"why don't you ask him?"
"oh true" i turned around to ask him.
I paused for a second when the tent I had slept in was gone there was nothing left to even give a hint of what was there, I opened my mouth to call his name when I realized something we, don't know his name. I turned my head back to Taylor
"what's his name?" I asked.
Taylor paused, "I don't know."
I glanced to my right looking at mae and Sebastian who both shrugged, looking back at Taylor she was looking at kaily
"don't look at me." Kaily said holding her hands up in surrender
"he's not Kellen right," Sebastian asked "nono he's not Kellen, Kellen is our age" Taylor denied furrowing her brow.
"My name is Scott," a voice said to my left. "Oh uh wait why didn't you tell us this last night?" Taylor questioned.
"You didn't ask and I was busy setting up camp" Scott answered as he continued to shuffle through his backpack for something. "Fair point" Sebastian mumbled to my right. "Ah found them" Scott announced as he pulled what looked like four blankets out of his backpack.
Scott walked over and handed out, what I assumed were nicely folded blankets.
"What are they?" mae questioned beside me.
"I packed some warm cloaks because district 9 is in the middle of a desert and I was pretty sure you wouldn't know we actually have seasons out here," Scott said zipping his backpack back up and stomping out the embers that were left behind by the fire before burying them.
"District 2 actually has seasons so we were slightly prepared," Scott explained zipping his backpack before hoisting it onto his back and walking towards the path he had cleared out of the clearing earlier, which was covered by a bunch of leaves that made it look like it was once again in escapibul; to my surprise, Scott just seemed to melt into the leaves before disappearing.
There were about five minutes of silence before Scott's head poked back through the leaves.
"When I leave the clearing after packing up the camp you are supposed to follow me" Scott deadpanned with a look that said these guys are idiots.
Quickly scrambling to our feet we rushed over to Scott and followed him out of the clearing.
