Under the sacred tree, in the midst of the dark night, Alfeus continued to reflect on the incident that took the lives of his two new friends. He couldn't understand why he had lost control of his body.
Alfeus felt relieved that he was no longer tormented by the two of them, yet he was confused because something had taken over his body when he lost consciousness.
As he was still thinking about the event, a whispering voice came from beside his ear. "You offended me...?" was what the mysterious voice said.
Shocked, Alfeus turned toward the sound, but strangely, he saw no one there. He looked around in all directions, but all he could see was the sacred tree.
"Yes... it's me, the one inhabiting the sacred tree." The voice returned, and Alfeus, trembling in fear, could only stand frozen facing the sacred tree.
From the shadows of the sacred tree, a silhouette of a completely dark human figure appeared, approaching Alfeus. The arrival of this figure made Alfeus's body paralyzed, though his soul trembled in fear.
The mysterious creature swiftly lunged, passing through Alfeus's body and causing him to lose consciousness.
Alfeus's soul, awakened in the subconscious realm, saw the creature standing before him. The strange being introduced itself as the inhabitant of the sacred tree.
The creature expressed sympathy for Alfeus's fate and destiny, saying it had seen all the possible futures awaiting him, but every possibility would lead to misfortune.
"Are you the one who controlled my body, mysterious creature?" Alfeus asked.
"Yes, I am the one who disposed of your two false friends... I do not understand how humans could be as cruel as they were!" the mysterious being responded.
"How did you manage to control my body, and when did you first take over?" Alfeus inquired further.
"Alfeus... do you remember when one of the villagers threw a stone at you? The blood you shed gave me access to control your body."
"When you lost consciousness, and your blood flowed from your forehead, it opened a path for me to enter your subconscious."
"If you're wondering how I know your name is Alfeus, I have seen your past and learned your name."
The mysterious creature explained.
While conversing in his subconscious, Alfeus received a clue from the mysterious being: "In this world of darkness, seek the great healer who resides in the mountain to the west, and you will see your destiny. I have altered the course of your fate!"
That was the guidance given by the mysterious creature. Before Alfeus could wake up, he wanted to ask one more question to the creature.
"Oh, mysterious creature, is this what God has given me? A fate so painful... I envy those who know what happiness is... But why do I not have it?"
The sorrowful Alfeus asked.
"Alfeus, it is not just your fate that is tragic... But you also lack a true identity."
"I know your real identity, and that is why... follow the path that God has given you now."
"Grow in this dark world filled with magic, slowly but surely, I will guide you to discover your true self!"
The mysterious creature replied.
After the creature had said this, it pressed down on Alfeus's subconscious. This caused Alfeus to fall asleep for a while.
