Synopsis
The glittering world of wealth and crime collide as Liliana Russo, an innocent, pure, and fragile soul but a fierce, defiant, and independent person, an heiress trapped in the shadows of her family's sprawling criminal empire, longs for an escape from the cold, gilded life she's forced to lead. Scarred by betrayal and bound by blood, she has learned that in her world, trust is as dangerous as love. Enter Dante Moretti, his name is synonymous with fear throughout the city's elite. Ruthless, calculating, untouchable, cruel and cold hearted, the Mafia prince with an icy calm navigates the underworld, ruling it with an iron fist. But when their respective worlds collide, sparks fly, and what began as a volatile attraction quickly spirals into a forbidden passion. Dante's charismatic presence brings forth a fire within Liliana that she had never experienced and was forbidden to; whereas her innocence, defiance, and wildness call to him in desire and in intrigue, he finds that she challenges his coldness and detachment in ways that shake his very rigid control. As the dangerous attraction continues to intensify, Liliana is thrust into a world of secrets being deadly, fragile alliances, and enemies around every corner. The distinction between love and destruction grows increasingly fuzzy as their decisions bring them closer to the precipice of betrayal that might be their undoing. In a city where danger and desire walk hand-in-hand, Liliana and Dante must navigate a labyrinth of passion and peril, but the cost of their love may be their very lives. ______________________ Please support me, this is my first time writing a novel. Chapter 1 - PROLOGUE

The city pulsed with its own heartbeat, a rhythm that was at once akin to chaos and allure when lived through its shadows. Neon lights flickered as broken promises against the sky at night, casting hues of the kaleidoscope upon streets wet from the rain. This was where danger danced with desire and whispers that unravelled fortunes were known, and so too the destruction wrought upon the paths of love.

She was standing on the balcony of her penthouse, where the cool breeze played with her long, curly, brown hair, rustling against her soft, olive-toned skin, looking down at the mad vibrancy below her, listening to the sounds of laughter and shouts mixed together with the distant wail of sirens as one soothing and stirring symphony for her restless soul. She was an heiress, to the world an heiress locked away within the gilded cage of her family's power; beautiful, independent, unreachable, and lonely.

But behind her frail facade lay a heart torn by betrayal and yearning for freedom. In the belly of the beast, her family's empire had thrived—a sprawling web of crime and loyalty stitched together by blood and unspoken oaths. She had learned early on that love was a luxury she could not afford, least of all in a world where trust was a game of death.

Then he came into her life, a man surrounded by darkness, whose presence ignited a fire which threatened to consume everything that she held dear. There was Dante Moretti—a name that sent shivers of fear down the length and breadth of the elite city. He was nothing but a ruthless mafia prince known for his cold-cunning and a gaze which could lure even the most guarded souls to their doom. He was a monster to the world; he was hate and love, both, she could not resist, to Liliana.

His icy blue eyes, sharp jawline, black hair and well-built body would easily trap everyone into it's den. Though Liliana knew better, yet couldn't help falling into the charming looks of Daniel.

An electric connection crackled between them from the moment they met, a dangerous bond that blurred the lines between love and hate, safety and peril. Every stolen glance and heated exchange hurled them further into a labyrinth of desire, passion igniting like gunfire in an alleyway, stakes growing more deadly with every heartbeat.

"HE HAS A HEART OF ICE... BUT FOR HER, HE'D BURN THE WORLD."

"SHE HATES HIM... ALMOST AS MUCH AS SHE WANTS HIM."
