Kazuma stepped into the classroom, and instantly, the atmosphere turned silent. Everyone immediately turned their eyes toward him, their gazes filled with a myriad of emotions.
Among the men, there was clear fear—fear of the authority and cruelty long associated with him.
The women, on the other hand, viewed him differently. Their eyes were filled with shyness and admiration, as if captivated by Kazuma's presence, who despite being known for his brutality, exuded an aura that was hard to ignore.
However, Kazuma ignored all those stares. He had accepted the reality that the body he now inhabited belonged to a villain with a bad reputation.
There was no point in trying to respond to any of that now. He only aimed to adjust to his new memories and find a seat that matched his recollections.
His steps were calm, yet the aura surrounding him was so heavy that not a single person dared to approach or speak to him.
Kazuma found his seat near the window, a strategic position to observe both the outside and inside of the classroom. As he sat down, his gaze immediately focused on the person sitting next to him.
...
Kazuma was momentarily surprised. However, his face maintained a cold expression, not showing any hint of emotion from within.
He remembered who this man was—the man, who in the novel, was the boyfriend of the woman Kazuma blackmailed and ruined her life. His name was Yamashita Hiroshi.
Yamashita Hiroshi was someone who appeared very ordinary, or even below average. His body was thin, with shoulders slightly hunched, as if always in a defensive position. His face was pale, with no distinctive features—a face easily forgotten in a crowd. His eyes were a bit dim, as if devoid of life, and his black hair was dull, unkempt. He had an average height, not too short, far from appearing dashing or authoritative.
What was worse, Kazuma vividly remembered what happened to this man in the manga he read. Hiroshi was a loser—and even worse than that.
Despite having a girlfriend, he couldn't protect her. Even when his girlfriend was forced into a relationship with another man, Hiroshi did nothing.
In Kazuma's memory, there was a scene where Hiroshi found out that his girlfriend was impregnated by another man, and instead of getting angry or fighting back, he simply stayed silent.
More so, in a disgusting turn of events, Hiroshi even felt aroused when his girlfriend was impregnated by someone else, accepting a situation that should have shattered him as a man.
Kazuma looked at Hiroshi with eyes full of disdain. How could someone fall so low? In his heart, Kazuma wanted to beat Hiroshi right there. There was a strong urge within him to punch this man's seeming worthless face. How could someone have a girlfriend but be unable to protect her, unable to defend her honor?
However, Kazuma held himself back. He knew that in this world, he was no longer the old Kazuma. He was someone who now possessed a different consciousness, and he had to tread carefully with every step he took. Nevertheless, the contempt for Hiroshi burned within him. How could a man like this continue living without a shred of shame or regret?
Kazuma gazed out the window, trying to ignore the disgust that consumed him. Yet, in his mind, it was clearly etched that Yamashita Hiroshi was just a loser. To Kazuma, this man was undeserving of anything, not even the recognition of being called a man.
With a still cold face, Kazuma decided to focus on his next steps. If there was anyone Kazuma hated in this world, Yamashita Hiroshi was surely one of them.
