Quest complete : Rank 5 crystal had been absorbed .
Neto stood in the darkness, the unsettling voices swirling in his head, but his expression was calm, even pleased. He raised his hands, positioning one fist near his face, the other beside his stomach, assuming a stance that placed his feet two feet apart. The air seemed to thrum with energy, as if it responded to his intent.
"Test drive time."
In an instant, he shot forward with blinding speed, reinforcing his fists with energy. His first punch was directed straight at Lencho's face. Though the blow was blocked, it forced Lencho to move back, creating an opening. Neto wasted no time, pivoting and delivering a crushing strike to Lencho's stomach. A gust of air and a spray of saliva left Lencho's mouth, his body buckling from the impact.
Before Lencho could react, Neto followed with a quick jab to the jaw, knocking his head back. With a fluid motion, Neto pulled the broken blade from the ground and thrust it toward Lencho's head with deadly intent.
Lencho's instincts kicked in as he saw the blade coming. His gauntlets, golden and reinforced, shifted to intercept, their solid metal scraping against the broken blade as sparks flew. The blade scraped against the gauntlet, causing small but noticeable damage. Lencho gritted his teeth, his posture bracing for the next move.
"Shit, he's like a different person. He shows no hesitation in landing a killing blow."
Lencho's gauntlets were designed for defence, crafted to absorb the force of blows, and they had withstood the damage so far. But Neto's relentless assault was unyielding.
Reacting quickly, Lencho countered with a jab aimed at Neto's stomach. But before the punch could land, Neto deflected it with a brutal strength of his own, his body shifting in an almost predatory manner. The blade was left caught in Lencho's gauntlet, but Neto had already anticipated the move.
His fist, now engulfed in flames, collided with Lencho's diaphragm with explosive force.
"Guh," Lencho grunted, feeling the air knocked out of him as the flames scorched his skin. The combination of the intense impact and searing heat sent a wave of paralysis through his body.
Seizing the opportunity, Neto twisted, grabbed the broken blade, and swiftly spun it upwards, catching it with his other hand. With no pause, he slashed it toward Lencho's side.
The blade sank into flesh, and blood spilt immediately. Neto didn't stop there. With savage precision, he yanked the blade free and threw it back into the air. The metal spun effortlessly in his hand as he prepared for the next move, his focus unwavering.
Lencho, struggling to regain control of his breath, grimaced as he realized the true extent of Neto's transformation. The boy—no, the monster—before him - was someone far more dangerous than he had ever imagined.
In the same ruthless manner, Neto struck with immense force toward Lencho's head.
"BROTHER!"
But with a snap, Lencho's body disappeared and was replaced by a massive rock. The collision between the blade and the rock shattered it into pieces.
'Ability? Why didn't he use it before?' Neto thought, his focus never wavering.
Tilting his head to the right, he saw Lencho's real body now cradled in the arms of another figure.
'Hm...him?'
The figure's voice rang out with anger. "How dare you, I'll kill you!"
_Kill you? Ha, he thinks he stands a chance..._
"Shut it," Neto muttered under his breath as the voices in his head grew louder.
He planted his feet, preparing himself for the next round. "Come."
The figure, desperate for a fight, threw a rock and swerved right to confuse him. In an instant, with a snap, the positions switched, and the figure swung the sword he was holding. But Neto was too fast, catching the sword with his hand.
Staring directly into his opponent's eyes, Neto spoke, his voice cold. "Such powerful ability, but so little power. You are weak. You can't beat me."
Coating his fists in flames, Neto unleashed a barrage of blows. His flaming fist smashed into the figure's face, followed by a brutal right hook. Grabbing the figure's arm, Neto dragged him forward and slammed his fist into his diaphragm.
With a quick swerving motion, he landed a powerful right hook kick to his opponent's face.
Then, effortlessly, he lifted the figure by his face, throwing him aside as if he were a ragdoll.
But he wasn't done. Holding out his hand, Neto summoned the figure back, sending him hurtling toward him at double the speed.
Before the figure could react, Neto slammed his fully powered fist into his chest, sending him flying once again.
He opened his hand again, preparing to repeat the assault.
"Stop...please."
'Hm? He can still stand? Impressive.'
Lencho was standing off to the side, looking surprisingly intact, albeit slightly dusty.
"Don't kill my brother, please."
Neto narrowed his eyes, his annoyance clear. "His face annoys me."
Lencho rushed forward. "No, he didn't start the fight with you. I did. Please, don't kill him. I'll give you anything."
'Desperation...'
"I want to get into the city."
"No problem, that can be arranged."
Sweat beaded on Lencho's forehead as he anxiously awaited Neto's response. Would this insanely strong man agree?
"Sure." Neto dropped the figure he was holding and allowed Lencho to tend to his brother.
Lencho placed his hand on his brother's body, and a flow of light began to heal the wounds. Neto observed intently, his curiosity piqued.
"If you don't mind me asking, what ability do you use?" Neto asked, genuinely intrigued.
Lencho paused for a moment before answering. "It's a healing ability called
Neto raised an eyebrow. "Then how do you heal with it?"
"I perfected it. Instead of healing my own body with my energy, I expel it to heal others."
'Hm... this guy is really a genius. And the other, not so much...' Neto mused.
'Yes, but not like you... Do you believe he's better than you?'
Lencho continued, unaware of the thoughts running through Neto's mind. "My brother's ability is
'One can perfect his ability, while the other can't even control his fully.'
'This guy is freakishly strong. He can reinforce and has used more than two abilities. I messed with the wrong guy.'
