Chapter 8 - 0008 - Securing the Auditorium

As Wang Tianlong walked in, Ji Qingyan immediately stood and greeted him warmly with a handshake.

"Hello, Manager Wang. I'm Ji Qingyan from Chaoyang Group. We spoke on the phone earlier," she said.

"Hello, President Ji. Please don't worry about the missed call. We're very grateful for your visit," Wang Tianlong replied courteously, his demeanor reflecting the thoroughness of Lin Yi's instructions to accommodate Ji Qingyan's needs.

Ji Qingyan was pleasantly surprised by Wang Tianlong's demeanor. During their phone conversation, his tone had been formal and distant, but now he was noticeably warmer and more respectful.

"Hello, Manager Wang. I'm here to discuss the possibility of using the auditorium at the Peninsula Hotel. Our company wants to hold a press conference and we need to check if there's an available slot soon."

Ji Qingyan had anticipated a rejection, especially after wondering if a miracle could happen. However, the response she received was beyond her expectations.

"Of course, whenever President Ji wants to use it, we'll arrange it," Wang Tianlong said enthusiastically.

"Really?" Ji Qingyan was almost in disbelief. "So, the schedule can be adjusted?"

Wang Tianlong nodded. "Yes, whenever you need, we can make time for you."

Ji Qingyan's expression lit up with joy. "Thank you, Manager Wang. In that case, I'm planning to hold the press conference in ten days."

"No problem. I'll take care of everything. Are there any other requirements from you? We'll do our best to meet your needs," Wang Tianlong added.

"There are no special requirements. We'll handle the other arrangements, so you don't need to worry," Ji Qingyan replied.

Ji Qingyan found it odd. She had previously told Wang Tianlong that her schedule was packed for almost half a month. Now, arriving in person seemed to have opened up the schedule completely.

"Thank you, Manager Wang. I'll arrange the deposit for the hotel. Our finance department will transfer it soon."

"There's no need for a deposit. With your standing, you don't need to pay upfront. We'll handle it after the event," Wang Tianlong said, waving his hand dismissively.

Ji Qingyan could hardly believe her ears. "Are you sure no deposit is needed?"

"Absolutely. It's our honor to serve you," Wang Tianlong assured with deep respect.

After exchanging a few more polite words, Lin Yi and Ji Qingyan left the Peninsula Hotel. Wang Tianlong saw them off courteously.

Wang Tianlong was satisfied with how things had gone and felt he had handled the situation perfectly. Meanwhile, his assistant approached with additional information.

"Manager Wang, the auditorium has been reserved by Yunkai Group for the 7th of next month. If we cancel, we'll incur a triple penalty," the assistant reported.

"A triple penalty is nothing. Even ten times that won't deter us!" Wang Tianlong exclaimed with determination. "If we delay the boss and this opportunity, we'll all be involved and make it work!"

Outside the Peninsula Hotel, Ji Qingyan and Lin Yi returned to the car. Ji Qingyan could hardly contain her excitement.

"Lin Yi, you really are my lucky star. You were spot on. There really was a turning point."

"Sometimes, miracles do happen. I told you, there might be a surprise," Lin Yi said with a smile.

"Yes, thank you for your advice. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to fix it."

"President Ji, it seems like you owe me a favor," Lin Yi teased.

Ji Qingyan blushed, caught off guard. "Why do you still remember that?"

"Does Ji always get embarrassed?" Lin Yi joked.

"Of course not! I'm still the president of Chaoyang Group. How could I say something like that?"

"That's the spirit. Now, time to fulfill your promise," Lin Yi said with a broad grin.

"But we're in the car. How am I supposed to fulfill my promise here? I'll do it later, when I'm home."

"No worries," Lin Yi replied, pressing the gas pedal. The Pagani roared to life, leaving other cars behind.

Ji Qingyan looked at Lin Yi with mixed emotions—both anxious and puzzled.

According to the GPS, they reached Yunshui Villa in Zhonghai in under 20 minutes.

Though Yunshui Villa was located in an elite area, it wasn't the most luxurious in Zhonghai. Given Ji Qingyan's status, it made sense for her to live here.

As the silver Pagani approached the villa gates, the security guards were taken aback. While many residents were wealthy, it was the first time they had seen a Pagani.

"Open the gate," Ji Qingyan instructed the guard.

"I know Mr. Ji," the guard responded politely, opening the gate without hesitation.

Once the car entered the villa grounds and stopped at Villa No. 8, Ji Qingyan prepared to get out.

"Mr. Ji, did you forget something?" Lin Yi asked with a smile.

Ji Qingyan, having just regained her composure, blushed again. "Oh, the ten squats, right?"

"No, that's not what I meant. I just wanted to make sure we're all set and the order is completed," Lin Yi said, pulling out his phone.

Ji Qingyan could only smile sheepishly. Today's miracles had truly been extraordinary, and she couldn't help but feel grateful.
