[Name: Elio Stardret
Title: King
Level: 2
Rank: Dormant
Rizz: Smooth
Queens: 001
PPP: 1200
Stock: 000]
'Rizz? You gotta be kidding me! What kind of system uses slang?'
[Dear host, don't look down on me. I just wanted to use a term that resonates with you the most.]
'Damn! I didn't know you could read my thoughts?'
[Lol! I'm inside you. What else did you expect?]
Was he imagining things or the system just used lol?
'This shit is crazy! But I'm happy with its personality. At least it ain't robotic.'
Another thing Elio was happy about was that he could both access the system panel, a blue screen that floated in front of him, glowing but not casting light to any physical thing, and hear the system voice inside his head.
It was like having both a browser and an AI assistant inside one's mind.
Out of all the things on the panel, only two stood out. Rizz and PPP. For rizz, he needed no further explanation.
'So, what's the meaning of PPP?' he internally asked the system, hoping that this would turn out to be some kind of power, agility, speed... Or something that would make him OP like he was used to seeing in anime.
[Focus on it and open its tab.]
Elio followed the system's command.
[Infatuating any queen gives you power over her kingdom and ability to earn more Purchasing Power Points... simply, PPP.]
[PPP are points with which you can buy anything you have seen. Everything, even from your previous life.]
'No way! Anything?!'
[You heard that right.]
'Wait! I can even buy a phone and troll the people who betrayed me?'
[Of course!]
'Give me a phone then!'
[That would cost you 10000 PPP.]
'Shit!'
Elio was kinda hurt that he couldn't get a phone right away, but the fact that this was even a possibility filled him with joy.
He imagined all the things he could do to his big brother and his girlfriend if he got access to a phone. Of course, that was if he could go to the internet.
He could block his bank accounts. He could expose their lie. Heck! He even had CCTV cameras in his apartment. He could have access to the footage of the day they killed him.
He couldn't contain his laughter. 'Damn! I'm gonna give these mofos some hell!'
Queen Liza was still glued to the same spot, silent and frightened. She probably thought Elio was laughing at her.
'Let me first check if the system says anything about her.'
Elio focused on the Queens stat and the system panel changed to another tab like it did when he focused on PPP.
[Queen: Liza Kledor
Value: 1200 PPP
Quality: Cheap]
'What?!'
Queen Liza was at least 5.7 feet tall, voluptuous and with striking features. With her wavy flowing brown hair and big round blue eyes, she could be a model for a barbie doll. What did the system mean by she was of cheap quality?
[Continue reading her stats to find out.]
Elio was starting to understand how this system worked. It never explained anything on the panel. It just told him to see for himself.
Actually, this was fair enough. Even he wouldn't want to waste his time explaining when he could just tell a person to go to Googol.
[Queen: Liza Kledor
Value: 1200 PPP
Quality: Cheap
Affection: 000/100
Relationship: Enemy
Kingdom: Crescent Kingdom]
[Kingdom Description: Poor and unstable, it had been tormented by the Blues for 5 years. For the first 4 years, these blue monsters had been terrorizing only the farms at the coast, killing both people and animals. It's only this year that they started reaching the settlements close to the Crescent City.]
[No ships are stopping by Crescent ports for the fear of these horrors, and this has left the small folk who rely on trade with Iropa merchant ships to starve. 3 years ago, King Kard tried a siege against the monsters in which he ended up losing over a 1000 of his finest warriors.]
[Just this morning, people were filled with joy when he told them he was going to conquer Stardret Kingdom for them.]
[Conclusion: Queen Liza enjoys her position as the Queen because it shields her from both hunger and terror that plagues the common folk. She's desperate now that you're threatening to take it away. That's why she is ready to do anything to keep it, anything you ask her to do, or anything that can help her remove you from the picture. She's not to be trusted.]
Elio dismissed the system panel and turned around to observe the portraits once more.
'So, this blue thing is actually real? Dammit! What else did I expect when I transmigrated? All fantasy worlds have some kind of twisted things to turn people's lives into a living hell.'
"Those monsters are the reason Kard decided to attack you," the familiar female voice spoke from behind Elio. "Our people were starving. Otherwise, you know Kard would never have wished anything bad for you. He loved you like a son. Please tell me he's still alive."
Elio scoffed. "What a joke?"
He gave the monsters another look and turned back to Queen Liza, a smirk plastered all over his face.
"My bad! I forgot to bring you his head," he said, taking a step backwards to sit on the huge soft bed. "I would have saved you from embarrassing yourself with such stupid words."
He gestured for one of his knights to come forward.
"Remove this thing."
King Kard's crown was large and heavy, not to mention the way it made his head sweat. He had only worn it to cover his short red hair that would have caused some complications if a wrong person spotted it before he entered King Kard's quarters.
Queen Liza was clearly still recovering from Elio's nuclear-bomb-words, but he wasn't done talking.
"You call poisoning my father a means to save your people from hunger? Poisoning me? What would have happened to my people then?"
She avoided meeting his gaze.
"We've always sent you carts and carts of food. Your daughter made sure of it, most of the time at the expense of my people. But that wasn't enough, was it? Did you even give those supplies to the people? I bet you kept it for yourself and the nobles."
Her mouth twitched, but no words came out.
"Say it!" Elio shouted at her. "And look at me when I'm talking to you. "
"I'm sorry!" she said, hesitantly raising her gaze to meet his.
"I didn't hear your grace in your words."
"I'm sorry, Your Grace! Forgive me and my people. We were wrong. We were greedy. We're ready to do as you order, Your Grace."
"Speak for yourself. Don't try to become people's spokesperson all of a sudden."
"Forgive me, Your Grace. I'm ready to do as you order."
Elio touched his sharp chin as if there was a beard. A grin stretched across his face, threatening to split it into two.
"I remember telling you to let your dress slide to the ground," he said, calmly. "I still see it on you. That makes me doubt if you really are ready to do as I order."
