Cocoyasi Village
Weiss's words hung in the air.
Nami, Nojiko, and Genzo exchanged glances—hesitation flickered in their eyes.
Then Nami's gaze ignited—rage and hope surged.
Maybe Weiss could do it!
Weiss—shattering their worldview with insider intel—was no pushover A-Long could squash!
"I'm with you!"
Nami scanned the orange grove, snagging a machete from the wall.
She trailed Weiss's back.
"Nami!"
"Nami!"
Nojiko and Genzo's hearts jolted—they shouted.
Nami paused, then pressed on—no more doubts!
Weiss's arrival—his raw strength—snapped her awake.
This was their last shot!
"Nojiko, stay put—don't wander. I'll rally the village!"
Genzo, ignored, turned frantic.
He urged Nojiko, worry creasing her face, then bolted at top speed to round up help.
Years back, they'd planned—if Nami broke, the village would unite, fight the A-Long Pirates, and carve an escape for her and Nojiko.
Free them from this hellhole!
Now, Genzo glimpsed hope.
"Wait, Nami! You're not shouldering this alone anymore!"
"No more tears from those damn fishmen!!!"
Nojiko, stunned solo, grabbed a knife off the wall.
"What a joke—Weiss, Nami, Mr. Genzo—all facing A-Long."
"Me, hiding home, waiting? No way!"
She chased Weiss and Nami's trail.
A-Long Paradise
Near Cocoyasi Village, A-Long Paradise hugged the island's coast.
Half its sprawl linked to the sea—prime for quick strikes on intruders.
Inside, the fishmen lounged, carefree.
Eight years ruling twenty-plus villages raked in monthly protection cash—no money woes.
With tough officers and fearsome A-Long helming, no East Blue navy dared challenge them.
Any ship nearing got sniffed out—sunk by their fleet.
"Where's Chew? Haven't seen him," A-Long mused, eyeing the sea-fed pool.
"Huh? Went to Nami's—heard she's hiding a guy. Collecting fees," Kuroobi replied, blinking.
"Oh? Ha~ Nami's grown up, snagging a man?"
A-Long smirked from his beach chair.
If fishmen didn't scorn humans as bottom-tier, would village girls live this cushy?
"Haha, Brother A-Long—kill the human? Don't want Nami distracted from charting!" a fishman quipped, cackling.
"Ha! Gotta let her unwind—but not too soft on our surveyor!"
A-Long roared with laughter.
"Hahahahahaha!"
The fishmen joined in.
Boom!
A wall exploded—a meter-long chunk rocketed out!
Splat!
The jokester fishman caught it full-force—slammed into the far wall, a sandwich of rubble!
Ketchup-red blood sprayed from the heap.
"Who?!"
A-Long's face darkened, glaring at the breach.
"Damn it—who?!" Kuroobi bellowed.
A fishman—dead in one hit.
Kuroobi's rage flared.
That blow? Even fishmen wouldn't survive—only cadres tanked worse!
"Human—human?!"
Smoke cleared—a tall figure loomed in the gap.
Medium-length black hair, chiseled face, lean muscle—188-195 cm, peak human height.
Weiss.
"Got guts—who're you?"
A-Long eased up, eyeing Weiss warily.
Bare-handed wall-busting?
A human with juice—itching to die!
"Me?"
"Here to send you scum fishmen to reunite with Tiger's big daddy!"
