Drax entered his room and immediately went over to the next comfortable thing — his bed.
Before he fell on top of the large, cosy thing, Drax's mind snapped as he recalled several times when Freya gave him an earful.
The Elf Prince examined his sweaty body and even raised his arms to smell himself.
"Tch! I wouldn't have heard the last of it from my mother if I laid on this bed."
Not wanting any chiding from the Elf Queen, Drax changed his route and headed to the bathroom for a quick, refreshing cold bath.
He didn't take long to wash up and come back into the room as he cleaned his body.
The room was filled with a flowery scent as soon as he entered, a testament to the sweet smell of the rich soap he used.
Drax felt very refreshed and in a better headspace than when he returned from his training with Madame Coletta.
As he wiped his face, he looked around the room before heading over to the mirror.
For a minute, Drax was self-absorbed with his body.
As many times as he had seen it, his current physique was his pride.
In his past life, Drax was not a gym or workout enthusiast and had a slim figure that was well augmented by his six feet height then.
Now living as the Elf Prince of Avalonia, Drax Manawyn van Elenor possessed a better built body than he ever did in his previous life.
Despite being only just fourteen, he already had two visible pairs of abs and was definitely working on getting a pair or two more.
He was lean with his muscles evident and defined, thanks to all the workout quests he was forced to do by his system.
Over the past years, Drax was doing more out bodybuilding-based quests to get into a great physical shape and strength.
Runs, squats, jumps, push-ups, pull-ups et cetera.
Drax was doing all of them and without any complaints.
There was no other way he was going to grow stronger and he realised quite early that this system was his one ticket to doing so.
As much as he loathed it at first, he had to do it and now, Drax has come to love the routine.
Despite his system quest now gradually shifting to more intense quests, Drax maintained the workout routine he used to do.
This change of heart was not because he was forced to, instead it was because he had now developed the love for it.
Drax put on a pair of slightly oversized brown trousers and a cream-coloured tunic as he made his way to his bed.
He laid down and heaved a deep sigh before sitting up immediately after.
Drax stared blankly at the wall in front of him, brooding over the familiar outcome of his spar with Madame Coletta.
Now that he was in a better mental state, Drax analysed the spar more objectively than he did earlier.
He had been brash earlier because he lost again.
So much so that it was tactless of him to not even thank his spar partner and tutor, Madame Coletta.
Drax remembered this and grit his teeth, smacking his forehead a second after.
"Tch! That was too much even for you, Drax."
The Elf Prince sighed before thinking for a bit more.
"I will have to apologise to her later."
He was sorry for what he did, although it was not an intentional act.
Drax's head pillowed on his clasped hands as he ran the sequence of their spar in his mind. In the following few minutes, a smile creased his face.
Certainly, Drax could note the improvement and now he could clearly see how far he had come.
When he started training with Madame Coletta a few years ago per Freya's instruction, the gap between them was so wide that catching up to her looked like an implausible dream for Drax.
Despite being on the high ends of the 2-Star Rank, Drax always got his ass handed to him in every beatdown.
He knew Madame Coletta was obviously stronger than him, but he just couldn't imagine that the difference between them was this much.
Madame Coletta was a retired 5-Star Sorceress as at her last active duty as a mage.
A skilled fighter who was forced to retire following the terrible, life-threatening injuries she incurred during a mission.
It was thanks to Freya's healing magic that Coletta survived the incident and ever since then, she had been loyal to the Elf Queen.
Although she could no longer participate in active mage duties, Coletta had a side duty to her maid duty and that was to train the staff of the Queen, including members of the Royal Family.
…And that was how she became Drax's first master after Freya had made the request to her.
But the first few months to years were draining to the boy, coupled with the workout quests he had to accomplish.
Despite how much Drax felt he improved, he could never put a scratch on Madame Coletta and that put down his spirit.
Seeing that Drax was getting tired of the constant losses and understanding how this could affect his mental state and attitude towards his training, Coletta devised a new means.
She had an agreement with the Elf Prince to implement a hierarchy system in his training system.
What that entailed was simple.
Prince Drax would have to fight other staff in levels to eventually get to her. Notwithstanding, Coletta still had sessions with it from time to time.
The elf master had done this to allow Drax to enjoy some rewards from his progress.
She knew that there were staff he could easily defeat in a duel.
Then there were those who would give him some difficulty, and finally, those who were higher than him.
If Drax hoped to beat anybody in the third category of staff, he needed to break a sweat and stretch himself to the current limit.
Quite fortunately, it paid off.
Drax has managed to corner Coletta a handful of times even if the latter always finds a way to escape.
But this time was different, Drax had forced her into a dead end, so much that Coletta had to resort to using her tree magic to create a clone.
To her, that was marked progress from her student.
To Drax, however, he believed he could do better.
