Since armour were treated as a set, Bob only freed two slots of his inventory. He bought four of the Health Drugs, using two first to heal himself then keeping the last two for later, "Hmm. All of that costed about 600 Gold and this leaves my balance at… 19820."

He turned to Demetrius then Aquarius, then the three wolves. As Freya had reminded, Leslie had mentioned she would come pick them up once they reached Area 09 — like two doors away, "We do not know if that is true, but she is believable — I guess?"

Leslie did not look shrewd on the surface, but Bob knew better than to judge a book by its cover, "She definitely doesn't look like a pro player wanting to use the new players as windshields to farm a higher level. She looked like another noob looking for who to rise the ranks with."

As for how great they'd rise the ranks… Bob turned to his skills displayed on the screen, then he scrolled to the two new skills ⦗Cancel Terrify⦘ and ⦗Uselessly Useful⦘. The former does exactly as the name stating, cancelling terrify effects once and he could spam it.

The latter on the other hand — Uselessly Useful — allowed him to copy status effects from other allies to himself — all of it, whether good or bad. It was useless if the ally did not have any effect that Bob wanted to copy to himself because using the skill does not remove the effect from them.

Aquarius rolled over, and its ears shook, and it turned to the giant that lay dead on the ground. It could not speak, so it just stared at Bob, but Demetrius soon came to explain everything in the best it could. Darius and Jacquelyn sat sulking by the corner.

If used wrongly, they would both get affected by a status effect made for only one person, 'If that effect was something dangerous like ⦗Stun⦘ or ⦗Fear⦘/⦗Terrify⦘, I would only send myself packing.' As Bob narrowed his eyes in deep thought, a gleam appeared in his eyes.

"But if they have an buff active, then I can copy it to myself and join them in ganging the enemy. I guess that unless I know what effects they have, and trust them not to lie to me about it…" Bob felt a frown form on his face, "…Whether 'jokingly' or not. I can use the skill."

Bob paused, staring at Freya out of the corner of his gleaming eyes, dropping his hand from his chin and turning to face her. She groaned, sitting up groggily and shifting her gaze from side to side, then groaning again, "I like your clothes. They look so… fine? Wait a minute."

Her gaze fired up, and Freya sat up to her feet. She glanced at her dress which looked rough and dusty, to Bob's clothes which gleamed beautifully and her eyes widened, "Where did you get all these clothes? Did you claim them from the giant? Where are those rags you wore— oh."

As Freya stared at his tattered clothes on the ground, Bob hesitated then rolled his eyes, "I got all of it from the shop. The monster dropped a lot of gold, so I use a portion to buy the armour. If I have this, then I can tank a bit more damage than normal."

"It's nice to think that." Freya lifted her gaze to Bob, and he nodded his head. Turning around, he lead her forward, and Freya followed in silence, the other wolves following behind her, until she cast a glance to the side, and eyed the beast, "Bob, wait. That monster — it's body is still here?"

Bob stopped walking, then he frowned, "I guess it's no stranger than no monsters acting as the entourage for such a powerful boss. The monster being at Level 250 was also quite strange, since it is not possible for such over levelled monsters to appear in lower areas— twice."

"Yes, it is stranger. Monsters respawn after death, so if the demon was truly killed then its should be in the process of respawnation." Freya rubbed her nose, and a light flashed in her eyes, "Have you thought that the reason it isn't doing that is because it is not a normal demon?"

"Respawnation? Is that even a word?" Bob poked fun, but in his heart, he took heed to what she pointed out. Even though monsters did not undergo a process of — hehe — respawnation, it wasn't normal for their bodies to remain after death—unless they did not belong to the prison.

"That is besides the point!" Freya fumed, stomping her feet and emitting a massive shock wave of aura, sending Bob staggering back with a mocking expression on his face. The wolves leaped for safety as he aura consumed the area around her, "I am saying something serious!"

"I know! I get it! Bad habits. I am sorry." Bob apologised, then he shook his head, narrowing his eyes as he thought to himself, 'If the giant was not from the prison, then it would be unaffected with the rules. For some reason in the upper world, the shadow god must be dropping them here to die.'

This means that he trusts someone in this dungeon to do away with these things, and know that they won't come back after death. Bob clenched his fists, and he thought about what Freya said of all the heroes roaming the dungeon, then he thought of the bounties they carried, 'Am I missing it here?'

"Bob? Why is your face so pale?" Freya grew worried seeing the blood drain from Bob's face as he lifted his bowed head to stare at her, and she frowned, "I know I snapped, but you shouldn't act in such a cringe worthy manner. We have better things—"

"Freya…" Bob asked, interrupting her. She raised a brow, and noticing he got her attention, Bob continued with his pupils narrowed, "You said the shadow god has the power to throw anything he likes into this prison, didn't you?"

"Those were not my exact words, but that's his power, I guess?" Freya replied him, then frowned, "Where are you getting at with that question? Is there anyway that relates to why this giant refuses to disappear like regular monsters?"

"If an ant keeps biting you in the ass, but as you turn to kill it, it begins to grow at a fast speed." A few seconds passed as Bob paused, "You would want to squash it, right? Squash it until it breaks into a thousand pieces, then send a strong message to all the other ants, right?"

"That's horrible!" Freya stared at Bob like he was a monster, then she paused, "The shadow god has no vision inside the prison, so there is no way he's worried about the growth of the heroes. This place is a labyrinth, and he is confident no one will escape the prisons."

"Unless he has spies inside the prison who has ways of communicating with him, or there is this backdoor that allows entrance and exits out of this dungeon. After all, everything with a beginning is meant to have an end." Bob smiled, but the name 'shadow emissary' kept flashing in his mind.

"A dead end?" Freya scoffed, "Cause' why not."
