Bob sighed as the light returned to the world as the torches stacked on the walls flickered to life and the blood rolled down the stone walls. He snickered to himself thinking of how dangerous these things were, and how much of a waste tying to kill them was in return, "Anyway, Freya."
He turned around, and his heart skipped a beat, 'One, two, three, four, five, six… Twelve doors in a single area? And this place is massive, if we hadn't killed them how could walk the darkness safely? There is no way in hell I am letting Freya lead her boss in this situation again."
"I did offer to lead you, but you made your choice." Leslie shrugged, walking to Freya's side and then turning around to face the twelve doors. She tapped her feet on the ground twice, then closed her eyes, frowning as she knitted he brows, "We should take the first, eighth and twelfth doors."
"We should split up?" Freya stared at the side of Leslie's face, her hands held behind he back as she waved her upper body back and forth. Leslie's eyes snapped open and she turned to Freya who blinked with a stunned expression, "Did I say something wrong?"
"We'll split into three groups, since there are four wolves, and three of us…" Leslie glanced from one wolf to the other, until her gaze landed on Aquarius. She paused then continued, "One of us will have to push a room alone. The others will go in groups."
"Leslie and Bob pick two wolves for yourselves. I'm the strongest here so I will be okay alone. If anything happens, then I have a high chance of escaping." Freya turned to Bob, "Don't worry boss. It will be okay, and I will be careful. Try not to die yourself."
'You think I will let myself die and lose all these gold? Mwhahah!' Bob laughed in his heart, then cleared his throat to speak, "I will go with Darius and Aquarius, while Leslie will go with Demetrius and Jacquelyn. This way if anything happens, I am sure someone will protest her."
"Who's going to protect you?" Leslie asked, frowning with a cold gleam in her eyes, "We should let the wolves clear a room themselves and team up for the other. This way, there is a lower risk of getting killed by something wandering in the prisons and there are a lot."
Bob recalled the shadow emissary, but he clenched his fists. He was different now — stronger than he was before! He would not slow them or let them slow him down, "To be at full strength, it's best we don't huddle up together. If anything happens, run away and get help."
"I see you've made up your mind on following this dumb decision, Bob." Leslie sighed, then she turned around and walked away with the two wolves Jacquelyn and Demetrius. She felt their gaze on her back until she slammed the door shut behind her, "What a fool."
"If the monster decided to attack her, wouldn't your efforts be a waste?" Freya stared down on Bob as he frowned, lowering his head. She noticed him clench his hands into fists, "We could have gone together again and it wouldn't stand a chance."
"Go, Freya. I will handle it myself." Bob raised his head and walked away, opening his door for Aquarius and Darius to enter, then closing it. Freya stood in silence for a while, then shrugged. She walked towards the final door, the twelfth, and closed it behind her.
——
Bob walked forward with a twisted smile on his face, "Of course, he knew that he was the one all the monsters were targeting. Removing himself from Leslie and Freya meant that the monster would reveal itself without any worries. Then again, he could be wrong."
The more steps Bob took forward, the fewer the grass, and the heavier his leg became. He felt an immense tiredness as he marched forward, his shoulders slumping and hands clenched. Bob heard a few whispers, but he could not make out the words, "Are they warning me?"
He looked forward, and the corridor shifted into a long dark tunnel. The more steps he took, the farther the end became and the darker his surroundings. He frowned, finding himself walking for an eternity, "Is this some sort of illusion? I can already vibing to a theme music playing — I'm fucked."
Bob stopped walking, and the illusion shattered, leaving him to stare at the road—there was no road, only a dead end. A woman stood at the end, and she wore loose blue robes, and as he glanced at her bare chest, he noticed runic engraving on her gleaming black scales, "You are not human?"
"Oh, you clueless child." She held a hand to her face and giggled, a single wing growing out from her back as the runes on her body pulsed. She snapped her finger, and Bob felt the air vanish from his lungs, forcing him to stagger backward as she giggled away, "I'll go easy on you, okay?"

She vanished, and all Bob saw was a flicker of black and her sole wing — hardened into what he hoped was regular metal — pierced through his chest, and the air returned to his lungs. As she drew out her bloody wing from his chest, the air returned to his lungs, and he staggered back, shocked.

"Heh… fuck…" Bob cursed, and Aquarius leapt into action. The wolf leapt forward with its maws wide open, aiming to catch her off guard. As she lifted a tired gaze to Aquarius, Darius joined. A cold gleam flashed in her eyes as Bob staggered to his feet and pulled out his daggers, "Who are you?"
"You can call me, Eve. I find children rather tasteful." Eve bared her serrated teeth, then snapped her finger again. As her thumb and middle finger separated, Bob spammed [I Just Glitched] and with the effects of the skill [The Developer Forgot This Error], charged in for the kill!
Bob buried flame serpent fangs in her breast, evading the scaled parts of her chest, but when he delivered the attack and she wrapped her slender fingers around his head, Bob knew he made a big mistake. She laughed eerily as she pulled him close and headbutted Bob.

"You see, child. There are a lot of bad people that want you dead." Eve grabbed Bob's face, and pulled him closer, until her nose rubbed against his. He dragged his blade out of her chest then he kicked her away, staggered back as she continued, "But, you'll never get to meet them."
"How are you so sure?" Bob acted tough, glancing at Aquarius then at Darius — they were both frozen in mid air with their maws wide open and eyes gleaming ferociously. Bob laughed, and with a cold gleam he prepared to use his trump card right off the ba— Bob quickly covered his mouth.
