Chapter 25 - Why I Don't Like Golems

"This place is quite strange…" Bob held his chin as he entered a realm of deeper thought, a cold gleam in his eyes as he looked from left to right. This exact area, he felt like he'd seen the design on some lower area, "It looks just like the Boss Room of Area 0…"

Bob frowned, 'Especially those weird statues.'

This area of the prison was as gloomy as earliest, and the warm grass was replaced by the cold stone floors. As Bob observed the statues, each striking different bold poses and holding blades of what he hoped was metal, his gaze grew colder, "Wait a second."

He glanced at the area danger level, then back at the statues. After a while, he invoked the flame serpent fangs, and entered an alert stance as he slowly edged towards the statues. They were four in total, and after the horrors the last two golem showed him, Bob wasn't prepared to—

"Fuc—" Bob was smashed in the face with a punch before he could curse completely, and he was sent staggering back. Bob stabilised his stance immediately, then sprung into action, leaping forward to attack the monsters, "The area danger hasn't levelled up. I can handle this alone."

A sweeping blade cut through the air and aimed for Bob's face, but he was nimble in ducking to dodge and using [I Just Glitched] for a dive attack, slashing with his blade. The flame serpent fangs left a thin white line, and the golem staggered back, but this made Bob frown, "Hmm."

There were four of them, and one of them—all equipped with blades. Bob narrowed his eyes, a thoughtful smirk forming on his face, 'I could try poking them with my burst damage, but with their numbers, they would out-sustain me…'

Bob flipped his dagger, and caught it in his left hand, balling his right hand into a fist. He leapt to the nearest golem, and swung his arm with all his might, a cold grin formed on Bob's face as his fist connected. The golem was hurled across the room, tumbling until it crashed into a wall.

He threw his hands and the daggers flew out from his inventory and using his skill, Bob turned the daggers into a halo of blades as he charged at the next golem. The daggers slashed at the thing, but as it tried to counter — raising its sword high, Bob's speed tripled!

"Oops, I think [I Just Glitched]!" Bob stared at the golem, then at his palm that'd connected with its chest successful, holding back a childishly broad grin. The golem was blasting away by the force of his raw strength alone, "It's not my fault [The Developer Forgot This Error]."

"Exempting the terrible puns. These things never cease to be annoying. Even being weaker than their opponent, they remain exceptional tank." Bob watched as the monsters approached him. Their eyes gleamed as Bob spoke, "At least no one here negates damage. Thank the— uh— heavens?"

A golem closed in with a blade lunge, pushing all its weight into the thrust, and another joined with a sweeping slash. Bob shifted his gaze from one golem to the other, then he spun around and attacked simultaneously — blocking the sweep with the fangs, and tilting to dodge the thrust.

Forced into a weird pose, Bob was left wide open! The last two golem swung their blades at the same time but, in an instant, Bob vanished from their sights. He appeared beside them, then he was metres away, then right above them cleaving with his flame serpent fangs.

"I understand what the description meant by spam, but…" Bob crashed to the ground as all the golems dashed away. He swaggered to his feet, his gaze focused on the closest golem, "isn't this too overpowered? I can literally spam this, and appear anywhere in my range—"

Bob dashed forward, vanishing into thin air, but as the golem countered with a 360 degree spin, Bob retreated for a split second then dashed in again. He swung his fist and punched the golem into the air, grabbing its feet then rolling it for seconds before flinging it to the ceiling.

'One down. Three to go.' Bob rolled to the side, dodging a golem's smashing attack. He leapt into its face, then vanished a second later, appearing behind the golem with his flame serpent dagger in a vicious cleave. Unable to defend itself, the golem could only take Bob's attack.

As Bob's blade fell down on its back, a fist pummelled into the side of its face, and a palm into its abdomen. The golem exploded into a million pierces, and Bob stood with his eyes gleaming, "This is interesting. I cannot be hit during the attack, but it allows to deal maximum damage."

If the enemy was a tad bit slower, Bob could bet he'd deliver at least ten hits before it reacted to him! Although trying this against mobile fighters like Freya or Aquarius was asking for trouble, there was no telling how much trouble just would cause for slow idiots like the golem and wyrm gang.

"I believe with this strength, I can solo stronger foes. Sadly, there is a problem even with all these stats and beaten golem." Bob smashed a golem's teeth in and sent it flying back, frowning as he took time to stare at his gold amount, "Not a single one of these fools have gold on them!"

Even after going through those foolish goblins horde, all he could find were piles and piles of all the most worthless trash even a trashy low elo hero would not want for themselves, "Like for what reason did I slaughter all those monsters only to find rotten meat, some clothes and broken stuff."

Bob guessed they kept their good stuff elsewhere, so he went out to find it. Now, even these two big-ass golem did not drop even a sliver of gold! Bob beat up the golem until its face was an earthen mess, "How come with all the time you've spent here — you never got, one gold? At least one?"

Sadly, the golem — even though it had a lot it wanted to say — could not speak.
